Should I get a greenhouse?

I’ve been considering getting one before this season finishes and maybe pull tarp everyday but just haven’t pulled the trigger on buying it. Is it worth the spend?
Some strapping and poly will do the trick on the cheap. Just make sure you buy the good clear poly, not the cheap grey crap.
Clear marine shrinkwrap is a bit more money, but will last years.

Someone else mentioned a cheap $50 tent and finishing them in your garage...I'm in NY so I'm in the same boat, and it's been a wet year!!

I feel you @hotrodharley I’m flowing fine rn just wondering what pros and cons it brings. Willl my end product be less beaten from sun rays?
Probably more beaten or at least affected. The greenhouse I’m running for vegetables for a neighbor’s farm gets hotter than the hubs of hell. And I’m in Alaska. 85 here and I couldn’t stay inside 30 minutes. The vegetables mostly dig it but the peppers get sun scald and ripe tomatoes burst open.

Just so I can get the correct one may you can drop me a link. I have my friends greenhouse but it ripped down. Should I just try patching it with poly and save or buy a new one and set it up better ? @Boatguy @thumper60 @TCH seems to be a 12x6
That looks fine if it covers the plants Heres where i buy my poly you want 4ml clear overwintering poly www.agtec.com they sell blackout tarps as well.

There are some really cheap greenhouse options online on ebay. Mind you they are cheap so you'll need to spend another maybe 50 bucks or some wood lying around to reinforce it a little better for windy days. But for under a hundred bucks if it gets through 2 or 3 seasons then its worth it. Ive spent more than a hundred on just perlite for my mixes.

This greenhouse below is just one option, there are hundreds of options to choose from and some have you tube reviews on them.

Any outdoor depo is a big commitment, I have been moving 10 gal pots in-out of a barn for yrs to depo in the summer, Next yr iam going to pull tarps save me hrs an lots of pain.
I would build a mini train track out of PVC pipes that the plants roller coast out on, and then back in the tunnel (the barn) at the end of the day. Little train cart platforms. Choo choo!

Or even put them all on a big trailer (I love making old trailer frames into mobile greenhouses btw) or a retractable deck of some sorts, and rig up a double winch pulley system to pull it in and out, with an auto garage door that also opens and closes it off to the light.. lol.

From experience - that tarp pulling gets mighty old really fast. You’re committed absolutely every day for 8-10 weeks.
I would just throw some small lights in there keep ‘em veggin for a few weeks then just shut lights off why need to pull tarp if it’s going into flower anyways if you don’t have neighbors you don’t need to tarp it just beam your backyard with lights lol I do in town lolzzz

We had a small solar panel system and a generator. Had to haul fuel 2-1/2 miles uphill after driving 80 miles to town to get it. There were no lights and no electricity. The generator was for the cabin at night.
