Five gallon bucket, Roots protruding

Started to grow with compost soil Dollar Store topsoil mix. 1 L containers, Of course they grew that. So I moved them up into a 12-in pot. Compost soil which they loved. Bust at the seams of that, upgraded them into a five gallon pail. They've started shooting roots of the bottom again. Just after topping second time. So they slowed growth. Today I need to figure out how to cut the bottom out of these five gallon buckets. Considering planning them into the ground. Any idea suggestions? I realize my mistakes, was an experiment as most grows for me

I don't think you have made any mistakes. if they are growing up and protruding roots out of each pot that you up pot them into, seems to me they are doing just fine. that said, if your 5 gallon bucket is a plastic bucket, just pull the Plant out and plant it in the ground.

Yeah, no need to cut the bottom out, just pop the whole thing out and put into the ground

Kind of did what you said I cut the bottom out of the bucket coated with just a bit of three pack mix so it wasn't on Clay right away. but it's going to grow to clay. Is that an issue. It's not too late I can put more three-part mix in. Its organic dark humus, sustainable Canadian sphagnum peat moss and compost. It also contains PROFILE porous soil amendment. I was afraid of my compound bucket situation it'd be hard to take plant out it is why I left him. bucket halfway Underground. Hack job I know. It's a weed I hope it'll go
