Just fired off another missive to the city engineer. 3.5 inches of rain yesterday has tumbled parts of my neighbors makeshift retaining yard and a river of mud followed. He should have heard from the city by now but he travels a lot. I am glad I don't own weapons. Looking at a lawyer soon.

Maybe start with a couple estimates to correct all the damage, and then you have a bill to present. That is so fucked up....Sorry man!

Because I wanted to make edibles I bought a SourceTurbo and use 100% alcohol. An ounce with 1 wash will produce about 4 ml of really thick dark concentrate. I mix it with coconut oil just to be able to work with it. It's safe and works well but it's all too much trouble to make edibles when I have vaporizers on hand and I like that stone better. I say it's trouble but my real problem has been making the right edibles that store well. I also let the concentrate sit for many months before I tried to use it. My first attempt was a glob of gummies. The brownies went well though. You probably know more about this kind of thing than many. I have to work through the city first which sucks because the damage is ongoing with every rainfall and remediation is just going to become more expensive.
I'd start with a certified letter to him denoting the problems, as well as any estimates you get on correct, good idea @manfredo In case you haven't already.
That way you have it on record you dealt directly with him too. As for looking at a lawyer I high recommend peeking, they can be massively unattractive and a bummer way to harsh a nice summer buzz.

I may have missed it but in conversations with your neighbor what has been his response and has he made any promises as to repair or remediation? Also document the times/dates/content of when you have spoken to him while it's fresh in your mind. Certified Mail with Return Receipt Requested and copies of estimates to repair to neighbor and copies, again Certified Mail with Return Receipt Requested, to the City Eng office with cover. You want to keep all the correspondence low key, non hostile while also expressing your frustration with the situation and desire(s) for a positive outcome. If it ends up going to small claims court it looks much better for you in the court's eyes.

Thanks. Sound advice. Working on my documentation and timeline. I talked to him right after he made the pile and expressed my concern about runoff. He seemed unconcerned. The next night we had torrential rainfall and he had left town and I don't have his contacts. That's when I contacted the city and sent them pix then the city engineer came over and took his own pics. I've just sent him new images after yesterday's deluge. If my neighbor doesn't act or reach out next week I will send him a certified letter.

As others have said, better to send the certified letter sooner than later. Otherwise he can say "I didn't know". ...Even though you told him in person, he can say you didn't. With the letter, there is no denying.
That's really good advice for any type of neighbor dispute, and especially a good idea if your neighbor has any dead trees hanging over your property. It puts them on notice legally if anything happens.

Vape carts are a felony in Texas just for possession of one. It's treated way more harshly than small amounts of flower. Just wanted you to be aware as a lot of folks think of them the same as weed. This is from a Texas attorneys site:

Depending on what state you live in if you have trouble finding high proof alcohol you may be able to get at your stores or have shipped to you:
Polmos Spirytus Rektyfikowany which is 192 proof. Some shops carry this but not Everclear. I got a case from Pike's liquor a while @$19 a fifth when they ran a free shipping promotion...and I'm in a state that "forbids" spirits importation.
