@curious2garden calculated my new NPK ratios so everything was. still in balance. I'm not sure how she did that lol.

This is the one I was using originally....Someone told me it was old, and that GH has changed their schedules, and sent me a new one....and if you go on GH's site, they no longer even post this one.

I think that's the same chart Annie uses too as i saw an older post of hers with it....unless she has changed.

The new feedchart is more aggressive, and even uses "gro" in flower.

But my biggest concern at this point is, which ever feed :dunce: chart I use, I will mix it to their directions to a tee, and my ppm's and EC are always lower than what they claim they will be. Considerably lower! Last night I added another 30 ml of bloom on top of my mix and my EC was still low! I might need a new EC meter. Mine had been sitting for 3+ years. Tried to calibrate it but didn't have the right solution.

Plants look good for the most past...a few crispy fan leaves. The temp at canopy is low 80's. I tried raising the EC and they burned worse overnight....gave them a few days to make sure then changed back to the weaker nutes.

My runoff has been a little inconsistent though, due in part to using 3 different size pots. I know I am not getting 20% runoff in every pot every time I water...

Next run will all be in 2 g. pots so consistent runoff will be easier, but I'd like to get the nutes figured out.

A lightbulb just went off....I wonder if my EC meter is on the 500 scale??? I'm gonna just get a new one!! It's a Vivosun :(

Their feedcharts assume you're using rapidstart, koolbloom and floralicious plus so you're missing the PPM for those if you're only using the three part. That's the same feedchart Annie is using. DTW uses a less concentrated recipe than their recirculating recipe.

I am using all those things...and about half the time i was mixing using the expert chart, as I already had all the extras.

Yeah that's what I was saying about their feedcharts being confusing. Like I said, this one is no where to be found any more, and this IS the chart I was using, to a tee, when my deficiencies started...THEN I switched the the other chart and it made things even worse.

Ugh, I just mixed 30 gallons yesterday using that new chart....damn!! MY EC is still too low though, according to my meter. I acgtually have 2 otehr old meters...Maybe I can scrounge up some batteries and see.

From the GH site....and i just double checked. The old chart is no where to be found.

  • Arid, bright, hot environments cause plants to drink more than if they are grown where it’s humid, dim and cool. Thus gardeners should use less concentrated nutrient solutions when growing conditions are more intense in order to lessen the risk of overfeeding.
I think the ones in my tent were getting overfed because of this. They are the ones that showed a small deficiency. The other 2 I have under a 300 watt light were still perfect.

Then I made the solution stronger and they all burned. Not terrible at all. I'm talking like 25 fan leaves on 10 plants. But still, not what I want!

Funny, when I make a maxibloom solution I always have to add pH down. The Maxibloom doesn't budge the pH from 7.1. My water must be more buffered than yours

I wonder! I don't know much about our water other than the ppm report, and that it's safe to drink. Once I'm up to full adult strength it drops my water from around 7, to around 6.1. But at baby feeds I do need to add a little bit to help it along.

You're a maxi bloom fan too eh? I may have to give them a try. I've read several people say the powders are just as good. And I keep hearing "Jacks".

I think you're onto something with your ec meter. Did you check the scale? I hate to say it I would ditch the additives and just stick with the three part until you have things dialed. You're working with a lot of variables.
