I run 800watts (slightly bigger than 5 x 5) and last grow average 75 grams per foot which very happy with , could go higher watts but no need, I also run passive room no need for co2 in a 5x5 you will spend abit in the tent , sit down have a joint a day in the room there's enough co2 ....

Thanks for the guidance everyone - I appreciate it :)

I'm going to keep the Lumatek (photontek) 600w as one of the options I take, but now that I have watched some videos from Shane at Migrow, I'm interested in the led lights that he sells - specifically the MIGROW aray 12 750w (Migro Aray 12 750w) which would be perfect for the 5x5.

It is actually cheaper than all options I have even with paying for postage from UK (or wherever it is shipped from).

Watching his videos and some other ones on youtube it seems solid. But as it is quite cheaper than what is sold here domestically, I'm a little hesitant. I live by 'buy once, cry once' i.e. get high quality once instead of buying cheaper things and having to buy twice.

I'd be very happy to have someone inhere actually testing shane's MIGRO Array.
They seem to have very good uniformity and the build quality is nice.
Not sure how I think about the efficiency of those LEDs, tbh.
Having the fixture so close to the canopy I would have actually expected them to draw less power or be more intense.
I like their modular design for the fixtures, gives you alot of flexibility.

What about four SpiderFarmer SE3000s dimmed down? I think these would rock in a 5x5.
Or four Viparspectra KS 2500.
You can get those on amazon.

Hmm, that's a little concerning to hear. He does mention it in one of his videos that there are more efficient tech, but the LEDs he has used are apparently cheaper and therefore he puts more on and it somehow balances out. Not sure how it all works?

He ain't daft and he's very honest about sharing the efficiency of his fixtures.

Be good to see his lights in real life so tag me if you get one.

LED's slightly gain efficacy the softer you drive them.

For example,
Diode A puts out say 100lm at 100mA, and puts out 60lm at 50mA and cost 1 cent each.
Diode B puts out say 120lm at 100mA, and puts out 70lm at 50mA but cost 7 cents each

2x Diode A at 50mA gives 120lm and costs 2 cents
versus
1x Diode B at 100mA giving out the same 120lm but costing 7 cents

Acefarmer 500 watt led grow light is awesome. About $200 on Amazon. Flowered out 4 grows and still going strong. One of those convertible lights that gets bigger for flower and can make it smaller if space is a concern
