As far as Trump's secret service protection goes, if the democrats win in 24, they will amend the law, government officials convicted of serious crimes lose their secret service protection and if imprisoned, the BOP takes over their security... A democratic congress can even build a special facility for such people, in Trump's case, the grounds of the federal supermax in Co should be fine, plenty of land and plenty of security. By the time Donald is ready to do his time congress could change hands and amend the law for government SS protection. Obviously, the law surrounding such circumstances must be changed and strengthened to accommodate even criminal ex presidents who are in prison. It makes no sense for the SS to protect someone in a cell at a secure facility, other federal employees can do that. Donald rates a maximum-security facility because of his large well-armed domestic terrorist following and countless threats against judges, justice officials, jurors and witnesses.

Hybrids are nearly the same price and a good compromise. Face it, gas is not going to get any cheaper any time soon. And if we subsidized the EV industry like we subsidize the petroleum industry, EV's would be a bargain.
I am not sure bro. It depends on the time of year. Was thinking of arriving at late spring/early summer and either landing at the top end. Arrange a bike to see a bit of Canada. Just as the melt is on. Then head south. I'm a bit of a wanderer. Rode my 1972 shovelhead from Melbourne to the Tropical Far North on a whim once. About 5000 miles. My arse was numb and my back took a week to recover. Another time I hooked up online with a (chew your arm off. Sneak out and run as fast as possible) woman. Crazy bitch. Mad fuck though. On the way out of town I saw a sign. Alice Springs 3800km. I thought "That sounds good" so I headed to the desert. 26hrs later I got there. Had to stay 1 night with the Abos and feral locals to watch the sun rise on Ayers Rock. Figured out where the aboriginals got their dream time from. So much of the native plants and trees here are high in DMT. No wonder after 50,000yrs the best they came up with was a stick that comes back and walking around off their gourds. Love the nomadic lifestyle. Getting on to 60 so if I do the big run over there it'll be on a 2 wheel sofa chair. A road king or similar. There's so many places I want to see. Have to go through the bible belt for a laugh. I've always found religions one of the biggest conjobs in history. Last time I was there was in Miami during the cocaine construction boom. I had overstayed and overspent so was working cash on big projects as a carpenter as I'd finished my apprenticeship and was ticketed. Somehow I got swept up in a "Catch the Mexican" immigration bs. 24hrs later I was on a plane home with a don't come back for 10yrs notice and a 6mths of constant partying hangover. They were good days. Being an Aussie in the mid 80's there was a gas. I want to see Yosemite. That was always a bucket list climb we talked about for years. To do El Cap. A mile straight up. The highest we did here was a 440metre 11 pitch in Tasmania. TJ is another. Gotta find the titty twister bar. Shit I'm rambling on. When we came up with the idea of doing it was 25yrs back. I can tell you 1 thing. Time is the most expensive thing in life. You think you are rich af with it one minute. Then you blink and years have gone like it was some magical practical joke that has emptied your bank and you've been mugged as well. The aches and pains catch up. The Louisville slugger for drunk idiots attitude adjustment is now your friend to get outta bed every day. The doctors scratch their heads and tell you that it is normal. Then a big wtf will catch you. "Oh yes you got leukaemia." Great. But fuck that. It is what it is and I will do what I want to do. If there is enough fight in me I'll probably be aiming at 2025 to do the 3mths in the saddle. Getting used to the saddle again after a 10yr breakup. So by 18mths from now I'll do the 20,000km easy.

The batteries are not quite there yet, but the new batteries are arriving, and the huge battery factories are going up all over North America and Europe right now. Waiting a few years might see a big drop in prices for lower end more economical models, especially with Chinese competition in that area, they will have assembly plants in America, largely staffed by robots! Better batteries, more range and charging options are being rolled out, so waiting a spell might be wise. I you are a suburban homeowner, then solar panels and a battery bank could lower your transportation cost to nothing, if you charge at home. I think this energy independence will lure many Americans, you can make your own power, but not your own gasoline. Many folks are waiting for better batteries and prices, which means mass production, new chemistries and lots of competition.

Yep. Sure do. Got a pair of scissors I call my 1 tonners. Had them that long. Though I find it the most boring part of the whole process. After years and keeping a steady rotation going. It's just farming. Rinse. Repeat. Go on do it again.

If you approach Yosemite from the north, there’s a bypass of hwy 120 by the Don Pedro Reservoir called the Old Priest Grade. 22% grade with stepstool hairpins. I did that one on the good ship both up and down. I tell you, I slurped six inches of shirttail up my grommet!
The Bible Belt is more of a quiltwork. The Central Valley not far from my current home in the Mojave is awash in Jesus billboards. Route through Salt Lake, and you’ll likely get the full monkey. Bonus is you can swing past Bonneville, which is like gearhead haj.
If you have good weather, the Beartooth Pass headed out of Yellowstone is something special. I lucked out and had cobalt skies and 200-mile visibility.

I looked into shipping the good ship to Aus for a continent-circler. Couldn’t find a shipper. In the meantime, the day has come and gone when I woke up old.
