Dr / Clinic that provides documentation for ACMPR that does not charge an arm and a leg. (Warning, The Clinic Network closed)

My grow certificate is up in a few months and I called up the last bunch (The Clinic Network) that I used for my documentation and they closed up shop. Would have been nice to know, maybe a group email rather than us finding out when we really need them? Tried Apollo Clinic, they want $250 and $100 a year. Called up Cannabis Growing Canada who seemed reasonable but something did not feel right, looked them up on their Facebook page and mainly complaints. So I am stuck. My province does not allow any home grown other than Medical, I am tired enough that I would be happy with a four plant limit but maybe if we elect another government. So asking if anyone have suggestions on who to use, I do not want to grow 50+, just enough to get me through the night.

Why go to a clinic and pay. Just ask your family doctor. Free.
I do not know why only some doctors do the ACMPR paperwork. If it were only a prescription for medication then that would be easier and I would just ask my doctor. I have looked through some of the guidance for doctors on what extra is done for a grow certificate and have found little on it. I can not say why they all do not do it. I am trying Lyte Clinic, two people I know online vouched for them.

Well that is what I was looking for, a cannabis specialist. I have been in touch with three now, one would have cost me $350, one $100 but had some red flags. I was told the one I hope to be using does not charge for 5g, do not need more than that.

There have been a lot of ads lately in my life for this, I am interested. But afraid it could affect usa travel or something. Paranoid

Any dr that charges you money in Canada is a red flag my friend!
My lisc is for 8g/day. No fees. A registered nurse can sign your papers.

Because family Drs in some places , Canada have been told there is no need for a script for more then 2.5g a day. Their own association has threatened their license to practice , in some cases.

Exactly . Your family dr didn't actually write you anything. A "Cannabis specialist" that just appeared overnight with legalization did. Tax payer covered. Yet another great cash grab scam.

Just grow your medicine. Unless it is completely absurd amounts AND you are selling it , nobody is out looking for you.

Cheers :)

My 'cannabis specialist' also runs a regular practice and walk in clinic. He's not a pop up overnight dr. Yep. Health care in Canada is free my friend. We pay in taxes. That's the point.

From what I understand the Dr./Clinic is covered for the appointment for the prescription. They do not get paid for a separate appointment to get your ACMPR paperwork. I was charged $25 initially but then with covid they dropped it, mind you they sent me the documentation to print out rather than they mail it to me. The charge for the grow certificate is a money maker for some, why would it cost more if you have ten plants or 50? (I had both) I have no problem with them covering their costs, but $250 for the initial 'visit' and $100 a year? It is not like I am selling the stuff, not that you can make much money now anyway.
