Granddaddy Purple - best seed source?

Hi all,

After googling for a while I couldn't really find which place has the Granddaddy Purple genetics which are as close to the original as possible.

I wondered if anyone has a tip for the best place to aquire this strain.. ofcourse each sees bank has 'the best' but I believe you guys know best.

Ken Estes made the original GDP but i havemt been able to source seeds of it.


A friend of mine had some pollen from a Ken Estes GDP male and made some
Mendels Aether x GDP, it was super good too, i just made f1s of it, and will be making some S1s soon too

Hmm, I hope to do find the original though. I'm situated in Europe (the Netherlands) not sure if that makes it easier to source this strain. Thank you for replying!

Not sure it would make a difference, ken estes made gdp in the early 2000s so imo it will be a rebrand if you find it

@J2M3S shouldn't I have included a link, maybe non-sponsor, or? (I'll remove if it's not allowed)

Anyway thanks everybody for sharing, I'll start out with Northern Lights and get stuff up and running in the course of time and if everything goes well attempt this strain. It is said to be a tad more challenging to grow than NL.

Allright decided to purchase the seeds from the original source via the shop in Austria.. so paid a lot.. but I hope it will provide me with enough seeds fro future grows.

I got my GDP seeds from Crop King. I'm happy with the grow so far, GDP is probably the most trichome covered plant I've grown. Floral smell.

Any of these would be a good place to start.
