I am using Jack's 321. Without the Epsom Salt. 4g Part A and 2.5g Part B, also 2.5ml Silica Blast per gallon. After that's all mixed if my PPM is below 1000 I add more Part B till it's over. I water once a day a few hours before sundown. The soil is Fox Farm Coco with Perlite added to it. The strain is from Ace Seeds - Killer A5 Haze. They were clones and repotted from a 1 gallon pot to the 15.
It’s best to water in the morning will help prevent PM. Not that is your issue but just an observation. I see yellowing when they are over watered but again that may not be your issue. Do you let the pots dry out at all in between watering?
Sadly I work early morning to the afternoon. I read that watering mid afternoon is the worst to do so I wait a few hours before sundown. Yeah I do wait before watering again, it's been really hot over here, I tried skipping a day of watering, but the next day they were drooping worse than usual.
I didn’t even see it was in coco. As big as they are the yellowing look like they are hungry since they are in the stretch they are eating like crazy so up your feed to 1200-1400 and make sure you get plenty of runoff everytime to avoid salt buildup
Thank you both for the help! I just wrapped my pots in burlap to try to limit how hot the plants get. I will also bump to PPM up. Gonna add more Part B mix and see how that goes!
From what I've seen online is that it can also be a potassium deficiency but it's hard to tell cause it's the same symptoms as nutrient burn lol. This feeding chart I was going off of said that 100% nutrients PPM should be between 1000 - 1100. I was barely breaking 1000 so I figured it couldn't be nutrient burn, but who knows.
You may want to move this over to the drain to waste hydro section for some better answers. Also have you checked for pest? I see you have a bunch of old dead leaves on top of the coco keep that cleaned out and cut off all the yellow leaves they won’t green up again so pay attention to the newest growth if your seeing tip burn then it can be over fed. Take some of the runoff and test the PPM to see what you’re getting out of the coco. I know it won’t be easy to lift those 15gal pots but if you can get them lifted up off the deck so you can collect some runoff and report back your findings. Don’t even worry about the runoff PH just what goes in.
I shook some branches today and indeed found pests. A couple of caterpillar's fell from 1 of my 6 plants. I'm assuming they are on the others as well, but didn't wanna fall. I sprayed them with Safer caterpillar spray around sun set. Gonna give it 5 days then spray them again. I also bumped my PPM to 1210, but seeing that there are pests maybe that was my issue. Might go back to 1000 PPM. I also wrapped burlap around my pots so when leaves fall they'll fall right on it and I'll remove them the next day.
I see a lot of water coming from the bottom after giving them the 2nd gallon. I gave them some Cal-Mag 5ml per gallon on Thursday and 1 TBSP of Molasses on Saturday, I'm hoping that will help them out. Gonna start doing that once per week.
Exactly the problem with your plants is being doubted by the wind, but one good thing is that if you can control the wind, your plants will grow very, very well because of the doubt and will make strong legs if the doubt is stopped by the wind.My outdoor plants seem to continue yellowing with burnt leaves. I don’t think it’s nutrient burn, but I could be wrong. I water 2 gallons at a time due to the high heat and 15 gallon pots. Some times not at all depending if it rains. PPM is usually around 1020 and pH 6.5. I also believe they are tilting sideways due to the high winds. I don’t see any signs of flowering not sure what time of the year they start showing signs. Any advice would be appreciated
