Ten years would be enough and turn him into a bigger blubbering idiot, if he was still alive, but state prison waits when the feds are done with his ass. The feds have enough on Donald to send him away for several lifetimes and once they get him in a cage, he won't get out again except in a bag.
Not sure if you remember the i's & o's of Watergate, but Dean flipped on Nixon. He plead out to lesser charges, but he still get some jail time. They let him serve his time in Officer's Quarters at an Army base. I'm sure trumpf will get something like that.
It would be up to Garland and most likely end up a life federal sentence, he isn't going to the big house, but they might build him a special one with a cell in the basement and a lunchroom for the SS. It could be some corner of a federal maximum-security prison though, Donald has a large armed domestic terrorist following and everybody involved in doing him will get death threats.
Garland has no say at all regarding sentencing.
He is overseeing the BOP and they will determine how Donald does his time after the judge sentences him. He would need to arrange security, where he would be kept and how.
The only thing on Mitch's mind is how they use the 14th to keep Trump out of their primaries while he goes down in flames and they come out with clean hands, thoughts and prayers. I'm sure Karl Rove is working on it now and arranging or backing the proxies who will bring the challenges. They have to use the 14th first and they will!
I agree with Tribe's and Luttig's view, but having the repulsives run the Defendant is a good thing for the country. He'll lose by even more than the 7 million plus he lost by before.
