They’re difficult, like duck or mahi-mahi. Dogs, now, are like pigs: basically cut up, heat&eat. But aren't they stringy? Oh right, properly prepared.
But a good catatouille is memorable.

Last night when it slowed down to 15mph forward speed, (more time over the hot ass gulf) the forecasters said right way that it would most likely make cat 4. Earlier in the night it was moving at 18mph.Damn didn't know that Idalia was gonna go for Cat 4 status right before land fall. . . . . . . .
Prayers for those people in the way, hope people did evact.......
Glad to hear your safe man, i was surprised when they announce it went Cat4, me personally i was thinking Powerful Cat3, as in usually cases our hot ass gulf water changed that just like it did us a couple of years back...Last night when it slowed down to 15mph forward speed, (more time over the hot ass gulf) the forecasters said right way that it would most likely make cat 4. I got almost no rain out of the storm. It's all east of me. I did have a couple three pepper plants leaned over. I'm sure some limbs came down, but I haven't been anywhere but the garden this morning.
Michael blew up on us. When we went to bed the night before they were saying strong cat 3 with out outside chance of cat 4. Next morning it was a cat 5 when it came ashore in Mexico Beach. We've never had water temps like this, so the models have a hard time guessing.Glad to hear your safe man, i was surprised when they announce it went Cat4, me personally i was thinking Powerful Cat3, as in usually cases our hot ass gulf water changed that just like it did us a couple of years back...
sounds like Harvey for us.....was a Cat 3 predicted....by the time it came close to the coast.....Cat5 and stayed along the coast for i dunno how long, it dropped 30+" of rain on Houston and Galveston.....and your correct with the temps in the Gulf it really hard to predict what these are gonna do.....last cked out temp on the beach is 89 degree water temp.....Michael blew up on us. Because, you know, that going out looting is on the majority of dark skinned people's minds.Same ole same ole with this guy. Every hurricane, it’s the same rhetoric.
“You loot, We shoot.”

In Ireland during the Great Famine, a curse from the British, when things got really rough and they had eaten everything around that could provide a single calorie, even the dogs and the children's hamsters, they finally were left with no choice but to eat the cats.“so long as they are properly prepared”

I'd try Dog if given the chance but I'm not sure i could try cat.In Ireland during the Great Famine, a curse from the British, when things got really rough and they had eaten everything around that could provide a single calorie, even the dogs and the children's hamsters, they finally were left with no choice but to eat the cats.
This was they very last resort, because you see cats are revered in Ireland, sorta like a cow to a Hindu.
I know that it sounds pretty fucked up, but you have to do what you have to do, just like eating corned beef every March 17th.
It is still done to this day in some hamlets and each family had their own favorite means of preparation.
Some boiled them with the hair on for a special flavor, but do not over cook or kitty will come apart in the pot and that is not good.
Our family cookbook has a few recipes for cat, mine being braised with some shallots and garlic, crushed, a yellow turnip and 1 large white onion.
You also will need a handful of truffles if you want that engorged feeling.
Saute the veggies but roast the turnip and add to the peeled cat that is already simmering in it's own juices and a 1/2 bottle of a good Merlot.
Don't be cheap on the wine, your going to want a lot of it to really enjoy the tabby.
Cook for around 1-1 1/2 hours in a cast Dutch oven at a simmer until fork tender and your done.
Simple yet elegant
Right?
