I’m only seeing opinion pieces and reports on Nikki Haley’s opinion, ie. recursive opinion. No serious/informed projections of his health going forward, and certainly no data on his condition.
No, his doctor has not broken his hypocritic oath and Mitch's health problems remain private, we only see his descent into decrepitude and comment on it, speculate too since he is at that age range when many of us croak.

That might be a true thing, but it is not a good thing. Fifty years ago the magazine rack at the checkout counter had magazines covering a broad variety of interests. Now it is almost entirely celebrity scandal rags lightly salted with astrology, chiliasm and antiscientific weight loss promises. I read this as an indicator of encroaching idiocracy. Journalists are in a unique position to recognize and resist the trend.
It's the same for TV which was a disappointment to many, the lowest common denominator won and then the market fragmented with the rise of technology and finally only appeals to a segment of the population. Radio went through its evolution too.

I think the republicans in some red states could be a bit surprised in 24, abortion is an issue well past its best before date and is now stinking badly. If the democrats win, they will put an end to it with a national law. Another law they might consider is a mandatory minimum 5-year term for conspiring to limit or abridge the human and constitutional rights of women, family planning rights among them.
