Examples of GOP Leadership

Yep, saw it on TV, his health concerns are all the talk and the other GOP senators are concerned enough to have a pow wow about it.
I’m only seeing opinion pieces and reports on Nikki Haley’s opinion, ie. recursive opinion. No serious/informed projections of his health going forward, and certainly no data on his condition.

What non-opinion did you see on TV, and which network?

No, his doctor has not broken his hypocritic oath and Mitch's health problems remain private, we only see his descent into decrepitude and comment on it, speculate too since he is at that age range when many of us croak.

That is precisely the sort of barnyard clucking I ignore. It’s what turns me off from, say, Meidas.
I spoke of my own observations and posted a video about republican senator's concerns and a meeting they planned about it. Most of human communications is gossip of one form or another.

That might be a true thing, but it is not a good thing. Fifty years ago the magazine rack at the checkout counter had magazines covering a broad variety of interests. Now it is almost entirely celebrity scandal rags lightly salted with astrology, chiliasm and antiscientific weight loss promises. I read this as an indicator of encroaching idiocracy. Journalists are in a unique position to recognize and resist the trend.

What sells magazines ≠ what is healthy.

It's the same for TV which was a disappointment to many, the lowest common denominator won and then the market fragmented with the rise of technology and finally only appeals to a segment of the population. Radio went through its evolution too.

It always comes down to money, the root of all evil.

Fify. The biblical quote often gets truncated.

Yeah, this is a clear instance of “it sells” making for weaker citizens. Our impulses are often not good for us.

Compare two high-schoolers: one who has access/permission to play video games as long as (currently unavailable universal singular pronoun) wants to, and one who does not. The second one is much better equipped for a happy and productive life.

Alabama AG: state may prosecute those who assist in out-of-state abortions
I think the republicans in some red states could be a bit surprised in 24, abortion is an issue well past its best before date and is now stinking badly. If the democrats win, they will put an end to it with a national law. Another law they might consider is a mandatory minimum 5-year term for conspiring to limit or abridge the human and constitutional rights of women, family planning rights among them. Cut the fuckers off at the knees or fill the fucking federal prisons with them.
