The only good thing re Bermuda is the building codes reflect the possibility of dangerous storms for the most part !
A cat 4-5 would surely test those codes !

I first began understanding what humans are/were doing to the planet when I read this book in a time when the people began to look around and say hold on there boyos (chemical/fuel/mining) do you really know what your doing?

We realized (at least some did) that what we have been doing to the planet with our mining, drilling, deforestation and right up there with the other fuck up's were the chemical companies that produced fertilizers & pesticides.

Dow & Monsanto were in a league of their own though when is came to extinction/cancer or just plain old death.

Well. after decades of screaming & avoiding & dying the EPA became a reality & we finally started to recycle/
conserve/maintain wetlands/forests/wilderness areas/protect the air & water & develop alternate energy sources.

It's actually sad as fuck knowing that we knew over 60 fucking years ago that just for a stock increase those mother fucking capitalist cocksuckers were killing us & the planet.

We knew that this extinction shit was coming up (yes, it is ) and could have be avoided, but they said it would cost too much to do & the damaged being caused by them was within an acceptable level of destruction.

That was the reasoning in 1962 & to this day that argument is still presented, that it would be to expensive.

I/we/everyone should have survived their greed, but that is pretty much decided I think,

I understand they're taking bets now in Las Vegas with an over/under for casualties from the next natural disaster.

Also acres burned/houses destroyed have good odds, so make your bets now before Lee hits shore and you lose the opportunity of a lifetime or month?

Hurricanes are not cool at all, especially if you are in the path of one down south, even up here in NS we had one last year that wrecked the power grid from one end of the province to the other with the big trees full of leaves going down because of wind loading and late falls.

The only benefit is they might make some in the most climate change resistant areas see the light and support doing something about the problem. It would help cut the climate change deniers off at the knees with local facts on the ground like increased insurance rates, if they can get home insurance to begin with, no insurance makes homes impossible to get a mortgage for, so reduced chances of selling and lower property values over time.

looks like Lee is gearing up, Lee is already Cat 1 at the moment, and gathering steam....waiting on the eye wall construction now, that will prolly be at the end of the day....

watching Lee gather structure from a scientific point of view is rather mesmorizing for me, going from a small little structure of storms to something that looks like this:

This is Jova, it's in the pacific churning, Jova is a Cat 5 off the coast of mexico heading toward the pacific ocean....

it could be, current track (and i'm guessing at this) i think it will stay north of them, but the outer bands might hit, wind, and of course storm surge too.....gut feeling is that Bermuda will get struck according to the models....hope not.....imo

It’s a very small target which helps …. kind of . The first few scared the hell out of me but they seem to come out pretty unscathed for most part, so far .

these guys do spaghetti models for these kind of storm, they have have lee up, most of the model shows it not even getting close but turning towards the Bahamas and others they just stop cause they can't predict where it gonna go from that point, but it will give u and idea of the track.....

i also use the NHC as well, and NOAA ......

I'll be stocking up on candles, batteries, gas and canned goods and keeping an eye on it. I got a propane gas stove and know how to make one of these if required! Burns twigs that you cut up with some gardern shears and keep in paper bags and can cook yer food and make yer coffee when the propane runs out. A DIY wood gas stove made from tin cans, just the thing for extended power outages and the local propane runs out, you can gather twigs anywhere except in the desert and even there...

A useful video to watch, once you know how, you can build one, too late when the power goes out, but YouTube is on your phone, but the cell service might be down too.
