I did that... sortathere is an easy solution, you just say; "I need to put this here TEMPORARILY" but then the amount of time it needs to temporarily be there seems to magically get longer and longer while the footprint gets bigger and bigger.. .. I am lucky to have the wife I do ..
so we're basically on the same trajectory.. I started with a 2.3x2.3, then 4x4, then 2x4, I already have the entire spare room besides the closet we use for xmas storage.. I have since encroached on the dining room and living room.. I told her we should just move into the spare room and let me grow in the master, that way I would even have a bathroom for water so I could move everything from the rest of the house in there..I did that... sorta
Started in a 3x3... I only need this corner. Then moved to a 6x3... I only need this side of the room. Now it's a 5x5 and a 3x3 I only need the entire room.
You must create an irresistible sewing caddy and storage locker close at hand to her work space, equal or greater than what she has now. That's a win / win in my books.
Mrs. S has her "sewing room" in the basement - a 10' x 12' that was supposed to be where she did all her sewing. But since we settled here in 2013, all sewing has been done in the main floor dining room. The materials are brought to the main floor dining room from the basement sewing room then back again when she is done. The sewing room has become the sloppy storage locker.
It needs to be my main growing area. So - how do we convince our partners to get a fucking grip?
How it ends: "I only need an area about 1/4 the size of Leaside ... honest!"... I did that... sorta. Started in a 3x3... I only need this corner. Then moved to a 6x3... I only need this side of the room. Now it's a 5x5 and a 3x3 I only need the entire room ...
If only I could. That 10' x 12' x 9' room has little room left for anything. We literally need another basement without the service area.... You must create an irresistible sewing caddy and storage locker close at hand to her work space, equal or greater than what she has now ...
I believe that was how she quietly bogarted that sewing room in the basement back in 2013.... you just say; "I need to put this here TEMPORARILY" but then the amount of time it needs to temporarily be there seems to magically get longer and longer while the footprint gets bigger and bigger ...
What can I say, I'm fond of decorating. Here I sit, instead of in front of that machine, right?? Why shouldn't I share my happiness with decorating. I mean quilting/sewing. Well actually I get equal pleasure out of both. My textile studio is kind of large......... sigh...... but my homemade cube is where you'll usually find meSlow down!!! He's trying to get her out of the room, not more stuff for the room!!
My back up quilting machine is a Bernina 1130 and bullet proof ROFLMAO and the straight stitch is out of this world accurate.I think I heard her gasp with glee the second I received that post. A couple of years ago, she bought a little black Featherweight machine. She loves the fact that it's portable.
Yes - I can hear the rumble of the bobbin right now. She is a member of two local Quilting guilds.
P'shaw she has you convinced it ends. I like her style. I just broke the news to my husband from the beginning there was no end and I'd eventually take over the garage (yes it happened). How it ends: "I only need an area about 1/4 the size of Leaside ... honest!"
sounds about right, throw in some 'hunny do' chores and spread it out over more time, rinse and repeat.. lolDoes this sound familiar?
Monday - "I'll just put that little box down here"
Tuesday - "And now this box can go down there too"
Wednesday - "Oh and here's another couple that can go."
Sunday - "It turns out I needed a third shelving unit in there. Here, please assemble this one as well."
Today's honey do is put in a fiber receptacle. Somehow I'm the doer. I'm going to smoke more pot and consider that.....sounds about right, throw in some 'hunny do' chores and spread it out over more time, rinse and repeat.. lol
So perfect!!Going to repot and flip tomorrow, just took a handful of clones, so these now have 4 branches each. Nice and uniform plants, really different than my other current grow, it's interesting engaging with 2 very different strains at the same time.View attachment 5326156
Thanks for the tip. Acai Berry in that thread, not Jelly, but still since this a first run for all of us with this gear, we'll keep a close watch.I just noticed this thread was about the Acai Jelly from the sherbinski collab, stay vigilant..
