god damnit now u make me want this light because if budzbuddah uses it then it's gotta be good right?

does she get hot?

and is this the only light you use from seedling to chop?
lol - don’t just pull the trigger because of that.

I just give it props cuz it works. There are many choices out there.

It does not get hot for me - passive heatsink design is working well ( flat plane ) considering most use finned heatsinks. Also , I utilize dimmer control ( power level ) and set according to plant not because i have to run full blast. Matter of fact i never run it max.

True, Eric from grow light depot mentions that in his YouTube review of the light.
However, it seems that there are different schools of thought regarding far red.
Just thought it's a good value for an American made light

Another fine choice - might grab one.
Medic Grow Spectrum X

Their Fold-8 and Easy-8 are great lights too.
The medic grow spectrum x is a beast of a fixture. I picked up one on a flash deal for just over 600. I finished the last few weeks of a grow and I am 6 weeks into flower on my current. I have been having a hard time dialing it in from using hps for the last 15 years. I am overall satisfied with the light and I am sure next summer will be better. A couple of things I don’t like, 1 there is no separate timer for the uv/ir lights and 2 the built in timer is great but I found out that if there is an interruption in power the timer restarts. Not good when you set it for 12 hours.

I am running Mephisto autos right now and will be doing some photos soon. I seem to hear 2 sides of this story. Get really good genetics or just go to ilgm.com and get the seeds there as they're "good enough".

North Atlantic Seed Co is where i was looking now for photos but I am open to any recommendations.

I have the environment down pretty good got an inline fan, ac, air purifier (idk makes me feel better), and a few fans going 24/7, humidifier, and all hooked up to ac infinity controller 69 (except ac). I generally run 70-83 (70 overnight with the light off) 83 near 4-6pm when it's hottest outside. RH i just set and forget on the controller 69 and it does a darn good job for me at least. there is a lot more info on what i got going on here https://www.rollitup.org/t/go-2.1092874/ and I welcome any feedback if you're willing to take the time to tell.

I just started growing in April and painstakingly got through my first run and learned a lot. Go #2 is working out MUCH better except a litte N deficiency that hopefully I've corrected but took a few days to get my hands on EWC. I try not to but i get obsessive when i am learning something new and feel like it needs to be perfect so i probably ask too many questions.
If youre mainly running autos: id go for a light which has put real thought into its spectrum but maintaining efficiency: autos generally dont need as high intensity as photoperiod plants, since they are on a schedule that gives them 50-60% more light daily due to longer hours during flower. They will generally do well at what most people see as veg intensity. There has been a lot of words said re spectrum vrs intensity/efficiency but what seems clear to me is that the lower the intensity the more spectrum affects the plant.

The light id go for in your situation would have to be growlight australias boards or strips:
Very high efficiency but also a very complete and full spectrum, as well as using a few special diodes that targets peaks of chlorophyll A and B of both chloro A and B1, both in blues and reds, as well as having a generous amount of far reds.
This is the thread on their current gen3 lights

i just want to try and get to the point where i can grow weed that is better than the dispo
TBH even my “bad grows” are better than dispo weed. You should have no problem growing better as long as you have good geneticsand dial in your fertilizer schedule.

Money not an object I’d have a Luxx 645 dialed down to 60 percent for your area. It does not get hot, warm but never hot.
