Flushing is irrelevant.
Another reason it could taste like shit is mold.
Not saying that's the case, hopefully not, but I once had what I thought was a "minor" mold on a few buds.
The problem was that even parts with no visible mold had a nasty, foul taste even though it smelled fine.
It's impossible to say for sure, but it's something worthy of consideration.

honestly being real for the pro's flushing is irrelevant. if you know what your doing there's no point in flushing. but for the scrubs like me i need to flush or my end product is wrecked. i tried not flushing last round and all my bud was ruined even after curing for over a month it was still ruined. what ive found out is if your using salt based fert's you cant give them a heavy feeding than chop this will ruin your end product. good luck with your grow bro also make sure your stuff isnt molded ive had some molded bud before that didnt look like it had mold but the fungi was growing within the plant itself!

Correlation is not causation.
Please explain the mechanism whereby not flushing would ruin the taste of some bud.
The logic behind the theory is fundamentally flawed and ignores basic plant science.

i say trim it more . leafe does make your buds taste like crap. could also just be the strain isnt that good tasing
really it all comes down to the strain .
the strain im growing right now . i could take a bud off right now in week 6 . microwave it and it would still have some of the most amazing taste
flushing and curing i think is a waste of time and not needed unless you been overdoing your feeding with synthetics . drying in the correct environmentis more importent then a jar and cure

I have always flushed my plants, this time I decided not to.
I usually smoke a few joints before the cure, and it tastes ok, it obviously tastes better after curing. This time everything looks good but the weed tastes like shit, is this due to not flushing will it taste fine after curing?

Based on the bright orange hairs still standing up after being dried and based on the bud shape and density along with your description of how it tastes.

I would say there is a strong chance you harvested weeks to early and dried to quickly. It’s possible that curing will help out some but it’s likely that most of the damage is done.

Flushing had nothing to do with it other than you stopped feeding while the plant was still growing so that limited its resources.

If you're growing from seeds, there's gonna be a good bit of phenotypic variation even within the same pack of seeds. Had some Candyland grows where several of the plants were similarly fruity and pungent while the oddball one tasted like onions. They can't all be winners.
that’s an excellent point genetics alone play a massive role in the end result!

allways hang cure (week or 14 days) before you jar or sack any weed , nothing will make you madder is opening a gal. ziplock of bud and squeez it and it blows a cloud of white dust out of the bag. No saveing that crap !

I don't know if this relates to anyone else's experience, but I've grown strains that don't taste good at all until nearly a year of curing. I grew a couple Chemdozers from Archive, that tasted like Vick's vapor rub after a couple months in the jar. I didn't like the taste. After about a year, I was low on everything else, so I opened that jar again and THIS time it tasted like lime Kool-Aid and gasoline! Now, it's delicious!

I have kept the room at exact Temps and humidity, except for 1 spike.
I take the plants out weekly and inspect. No mold here my room is clean, but thanks

could have dried too quickly, if the weed dries too fast initially this doesn't allow for the chlorophyll to break down causing it to have a poor taste and often a harsh smoke that burns too quickly.
U dried 8 days at 55% humpty and 75°

The strain is godfather OG. When I look online I am seeing bright orange hairs, looks similar to picks. Oh man I really hope you were wrong. I saw all white with a bunch of amber. I lest it for almost 9 weeks

ive had plants that came out like this, Its the reason i did hella homework on seed breeders to find some quality genetics. I also fried them to hell with many 100+f degree days. It was some airy larfy mess that my buddies who swore to buy it wanted nothing to do with lol.

This looks like a combo of unsuitable conditions (temps/humidity/light distance/airflow) and maybe some subpar genetics as well

well my suggestion is this regardless of how it happened, the flowers taste like shit either nuked them with nutrients or dried to fast regardless of perceived conditions being alright. the problem is how do you solve this? ill tell you its more than likely the trichome heads are fine its the flowers that they are attached to that taste bad my suggestion is go on amazon buy a some bubble bags and the washing machine that goes with it for a couple hundred and sit down on youtube and watch some frenchy cannoli videos and learn how to turn the whole harvest into hash. the machine can hold 300 grams at a time

do you have any closer up pictures of the buds at harvest. It’s tough for me to tell from these pictures but it sure looks like the plants are covered in white stigma which is what I expected. They were likely harvested early. Closer bud pics would Make it easier tell.
