380 diodes per bar + epistar or 320 diodes + osram?

Gonna get one of the rotatable kingbrite fixtures They look solid and for my apex shaped space they're perfect for casting light to the sides.

The choice I have is between 380 of the new samsung lm301h Evo diodes per bar (total 3800) + epistar 730/660s... Or 320 (3200 total) same diodes plus epistar 660/730.

Price is roughly the same, what would you choose?

Are you sure this is right? Theres the same diodes in both, just that one has more white diodes? Evo whites + epi 660/730 in both?
If its the same id go for the one with more diodes, obviously
Im thinking that there may be osrams in one of them? I think i saw this before and asked myself the same question

You UK based? Just reading this review scares me a bit though

While the spectrum and the ability to control the spectrum is amazing . The light is (very cheaply) built and gets way too hot .you will be burnt if you touch this light while it's on. The leds are small, so it's not that bright, once you get to 50% 60% brightness I dont think it gets any brighter. it also has no waterproof coating, and the cord is way to short. While the concept is unreal, this light is not worth the price by far. You're more than likely to get a house fire before a good crop.

I wonder what the real terms difference is between the epistar and osram though?
They seemed to be "recommending" me to go with the 320 and Osram... but I'm not entirely convinced that's not because the LM301h Evos are more costly overall

How much of a difference to a fixture do the 730/660 diodes; more specifically, which brand, make ?

Where did you see that review?

There are only a handful of reviews on Amazon, but mostly favorable. The biggest complaint i have heard is some of them die out early, with a switch problem or something...They won't go to full power. For $170 I'll chance it, and I'll pay the extra $25 for the 3 year warranty. But yeah, I am skeptical...

Dont know what to say about this light. Dont really like to buy the full light from china due to a fair amount of driver issues ive seen with them; also realistically is meanwell/inventronics drivers on alibaba lights really the same as one sourced thru normal channels? One of them you are sure its gone thru proper QC at least.

Duke; have you looked into buying the light in strips and setting it up yourself with a bit of angle and a driver distributor you wanna deal with local/or at least in the uk?
Also these lights tend to come with really big shipping, if it was only the strips or them mounted on sinks it may be cheaper.

I don't know, I'm thinking Kingbrite have built up a solid enough reputation by now to be trusted somewhat, what do you think?

The total cost is £600 delivered for the 1000w or £500 for the 800w, which is decent enough relative to what else I can get for that price.
It's the tilting lights that really helps me out because I've got an apex and to run flat bars right across loses me too much height to realistically deal with.

Someone on here should be able to get their drivers verified by meanwell/inventronics, don't you think?
I know there's a chinese supplier of drivers called Ledlightsave or something like that, and a few people were talking about them on another forum having found out their drivers all checked out with the manufacturer as legit original models.

Here are the exact options

1. LM301H EVO+Osr 660nm/730nm(282pcs/bar: 270+9+3), 282*10=2820pcs
2. LM301H EVO+Osr 660nm/730nm(320pcs/bar: 300+15+5), 320*10=3200pcs
3. LM301H EVO+Epistar 660nm/730nm(380pcs/bar: 300+60+20), 380*10=3800pcs

So looking at that it seems I've made the wrong assumption and that it's not more Evo diodes I'm getting but more of the Epistar

Question is, is 15 + 5 Osrams really better than 60 + 20 Epistars?

My best guess its that its more or less all the same and i go epi for the extra white diodes.

#3 has a good deal of red, so that's something to consider. Might be more suited for flower?

you really need to know what model number the osram and epi diodes are before you can make a valid comparrison.

its more than likely that the osram diodes are significantly more expensive than the epi's hence the difference in amounts used, also the osrams will be more efficient than the epi's.

also dont forget that although the fixture with the epi's has 4 x as many 660 + 730 than the osram fixture it has the same power budget (watts) to power them so i wouldnt really expect one light to have a significantlly higher amount of 660+730 than the other.

id say this comes down to quality and longevity of the diodes rather than spectrum.

id go with the osrams.
