It SEEMS like it could be a decent light (I haven't used mine yet) but it's got a more complicated circuit than some other lights. And, if something does go wrong it isn't going to be user-serviceable...and I'm not willing to pack it up and send the whole thing back in IF it were to break. It's a big, heavy box....and, like I say, the packing is some of the worst I've ever seen.I've heard from several people they do have excellent customer service.
I just asked them a question by email and had an answer within and hour... I was wondering how long the warranty is. 1 year they said.
The switches don't feel like they are super high quality. I'm not really clear on the built-in timer situation, either. It might be a bit of a learning curve! When I plugged it in for the first time, it was blindingly bright! And since it was free, I can't really complain. It might come in handy at some point.
I'm saving mine in the box as an emergency backup light in case something goes wrong with my new HLG Red Spec. I've got a lot of lights now!
