I scored a couple waterproof 2 wire plugs and decided to solder those in so I can unplug and remove the dehumidifier for maintenance/cleaning without having to remove the back of the fridge.

Question about calibrating the inkbird sensor. I currently have it set at 62% and a 1.5% swing. These are my readings overnight from the Govee.

I had it on these settings when I pulled all the flower out on Sunday because it was drier than expected. When I jarred it up, it was hanging at 54-55%. It has now been in the jars for 36 hours or so and is sitting at 58%. Does that mean that I should set the calibration number at -4?

Yes that should be correct if you’re shooting for 62% in the jar. Many people would say 58% is perfect, just depends on where you like it. When you change it you should also see the readout change, so if it’s at 63, it should read 59 once you enter -4 in the calibration settings.

I don't see where it states what the metal is. They are certainly cheaper then mine:

Hi hook daddy and the koolatron gang. My timing was off and have trim jail for 2 weekends plus. I finally was able to get my dryer filled. 1 plant filled 4 trays and only 1 tray left for my 2nd plant so I only took off some tops and the rest of the plant will have to go in my main flower/ drying room come this weekend harvest. My question is should I take off the buds from the main stalk? 12” inch bud sticks look nice by why dry the stalk?

I cut mine down to buds. Let us know if you try a stalk and see if it blows up your humidity.

I threw the tops from the first plant in there when I loaded it. I will take them off the stems and it will give me more room.
The tops from the photo are hanging in the room where the koolatron is. The room is 66 degrees and 61% rh so might just let them hang another day.

I could turn off the koolatron and leave the door open lol

If your hanging to dry a day or two first and like to keep colas together it shouldn’t be a problem. I have been taking the stalks off and loading more bud myself, as much for the extra room than anything else.

I just ordered my stuff a few days before the sale at full price . I reordered and started a return for both dehum and ink bird.

So, last night I put some of the popcorn from this plant on a tray and tossed it in. It went up to mid 70's but as soon as the dehumidifier warmed up, it dropped down like normal. When I checked the inkbird this morning, it seemed that it creeper back up to 67 or so and stayed there. So I removed the tray with the popcorn on it and dropped down to 62 and has stayed there. Just started poking around and seeing if I could figure out what was up and found this. Oops. So now, I see that hanging up for a day or two is not just a good recommendation, but a necessity.

this happens to me as well i just put a light timer in it and let it melt for 15 min every 1-2h.fixes the problem ice just drops down in the 15min its not working and you have no problems.
allsoo i pointed my metal down you have it straight no idea if it will have any effect.

Just another little one. The guts look similar to the ones we use so I hope it works alright. Only real concern I have is that it has a push button power instead of a switch. Not sure if that will cause an issue.

I finally got my Koolatron after a fail order from Amazon. The tracking was saying out for delivery than a few hours before delivery time it changes to item was damaged and shipping back to sender. I tried ordering a replacement on Amazon but they were sold out . I guess everyone is in harvesting time and is trying to build one I ended up placing a new order through Walmart as they had it in stock. The order from Walmart came in and the foot was broken! Again!
Luckily for me I have a 3d print farm and a few years of experience modeling in CAD software so within 30 mins and a bolt I had laying around in my tool box I was able to print a replacement foot.

Here is a few pictures of the finished product. I designed and printed a few wire plugs out of flexible TPU filament for the first 2 back panels and a housing made from PLA that screwed in to the sliding back panel for the dehumidifier power jack.

Anybody else have an issue with their drain? I have had to prop up the front of the fridge so it drains to the tray instead of collecting on the bottom. I just got 4 Blueberry Cupcake plants trimmed and loaded into it last night. It's pulling so much moisture out of there. It's amazing!!
