Good morning & happy Friday.
It's another day of cutting and fitting trim boards for deck screening. I've made it very difficult and time consuming with fasteners instead of nails or deck screws and routing the edges. I could simply use a deck screw but instead I've decided to climb the ladder with a jig to drill pilot holes, then glue, insert a fastener, hammer it into a narrow space and then find it with a screw that's a little too short. I reasoned I could remove the trim easily when I need to change the screening. Not worth this trouble. It will be easier when the screen actually goes up though. I can't put in the screen now because I'm waiting for the deck to be painted. I think the contractor uses Putin time. It's been 19 MONTHS on his "5-day project". Can't wait until this job is done.
