Hey all, I'm somewhat new, had couple indoor grows some years back, and started back this past year. My question is, has anyone ever tried vegging in coco but flower in soil or soil coco mix? I was thinking about trying it by slowly increasing pH with each watering. Any opinions & advice is much appreciated, TIA!

I had a 16oz paper cup with a tester in it in coco that looked interesting enough that I stuck the whole cup in a 3 gal soil to finish. The roots grew into the soil. It grew fine and I kept using Jacks 321 to feed pouring it through the coco cup. :peace:

yeah but you'd do best to shake out as much coco from the rootball when you transplant otherwise you could get some ec/moisture issues with the main root ball being immersed in coco.

I’ve tried it and my plants got messed up horribly. Coco feeds differently and operates differently. The roots are different from hydro and soil. You could switch but you’d have to do it in veg
Ya, the more I think about it, and just as a test. Do a single clone veg for 2 weeks, transplant, about 2 or 3 day recovery
No, and it's a preposterous suggestion that soil will result in superior taste and smell.
preposterous.... really?
