I'm just gonna snag one of the ACI dampers. Under $20 seems like a deal to me. I need to reevaluate the filter situation on the outside of the house as well. Just a piece of screen should be sufficient paired with the damper should keep everything out. I have had zero issues since I cut the hole in the spring but my fan has been on 24 hours a day since it was cut. Even the last month there hasn't been any plants in there. It would be nice to be able to just shut it all completely down when not in use.

My dad cut a hole and put a 6" port on my exhaust stack so I can exhaust outside without alerting the neighbors. I just keep my fan running on 1 so stink can't come back in.

And in the grand scheme of things, I reckon that leaf doesn't remain on the plant after this weekend. Them plants are gonna need some spreadin' soon.
