This website is very therapeutic for me . I've gotten a lot older , been out of the " fastlane " for a long time . I've voluntarily isolated myself from the throngs of people , the traffic , the chaos and noise. I love the solitude , the wild life , the complete absence of light which reveal the stardom ( I got an ass-kicking six inch refractor telescope ) . I love the " pin dropping on the floor silence " as I watch the silent , twirling dust devils of snow , their tornodic element , spinning and fast moving over a splendid stretch of beautiful blue ice . The hounds and cats nestled by the wood stove and the slow gait of country life. However , I do starve for conversation , the pith and distilations from people . Rollitup , as afforded me this , many times over ! I really , really need that element in my life ! Meaningful , humorous and relatable exchanges. There are so many members that have afforded me this opportunity.......I don't take it lightly ! As I'm getting older, I tried to recluse myself from the outside world especially social media and trying to find another hobby which could give me positivity (ie: growing weed).

RIU is by far the most active cannabis grower community, I can't find any place like it.

RIU has kept me from going insane in a post covid world. A bunch of personal tragedies occurred early during covid, unrelated to the disease itself, and my only saving grace was leaving the house for work for the first 3 months, which gave me purpose. I decided I needed to grow after my mentor passed in a motorcycle accident, which brought me here.

I need to make real world connections to flourish, but in the meantime, this place has been a rock.
