I'm bummed. I planted 6 seeds in rapid rooters, in a cloning tray.7 days later I have 2 sprouts out of 6.
One sprouted on the 5th day from planting and now one more on the 7th day.
Seems like they all should have sprouted by now. Wonder what I did wrong? I re wet the plugs in water ph'd to around 6.4. They are in my tent with the light at 50% around 500 to 600 par 18-6 cycle. watering from the bottom.
And of course I have no idea which 2 sprouted since the labels got mixed up.
I love rapid rooters for clones but I always start seeds in plain fresh promix. Seeds can get too deep in a plug. 5 to 7 days though sounds like a seed problem maybe.

Good call on the Pro Mix - works well from bean pop to plant chop. A few drops of water directly over top of the seed - 2 times a day - and within 4 to 5 days the little sea monster shows up.
Once my mix is moistened and seeds planted I water from the bottom until they are ready for transplant. That way the little dears don't get too jostled. My flood and drain ways are, uh, deeply rooted.

Are they warm?

It doesn't mean you did anything wrong. Seeds can be finicky things.

( EDIT - Pro Mix also works very well as a cloning medium. )
You'll get no argument from me. Pro Mix is very comfortable to me. Even my outdoor raised beds are essentially home brewed Pro Mix with added vermiculite and compost, because I'm not doing drain to waste under the sun! Need that water retention.

About 75 degrees in the tent.
Root zone temp matters more than air temp for this. But if the tent is at 75 then I'm sure the plugs are fine. Unless they are sitting on a basement floor, that could definitely slow things down. I've had seeds take a while to pop. Then other times I feel like I wake up and they're already sticking out. Leave them a few more days.

My biggest issue with coco is I don’t see anyone reusing it and I reuse mine relentlessly.
I reuse mine. I throw out the thickest part of the root ball, then shake out and keep the rest. It saves like half of a pot. It breaks down eventually and gets a little sludgy. Since I don't use perlite if it gets too sludgy they get overwatered. I hadn't noticed it before. And I think that's why I overwatered my last batch of seedlings!
