Most cell phones on zoom telephoto will give you enough detail.
I have one that connects to my laptop since it generates fairly large files the combo works well.
Honestly have not bothered since I get great detail on cellphone. If there was a portion I wanted to look in detail greater than cell phone I would bring in sample as trying to focus a hi detail image with objects blowing is a pointless venture.

That’s the damn truth ‍♂

it was pretty cool looking at the dreaded spider mites with my scope. I can take videos and check them out , and one day i want to watch a battle between the predatory mites and the 2 spotted spider mites.

I got one with the wifi box so you can hook the phone up to that and take pics easily. I still find that the old Radio Shack lighted 30X scope is more than enough to check out the trichs. I use a 3" 3X magnifying glass for hunting bugs. Has a small 5 or 6X lens built in to the big lens for a closer peak.

Ground and filed the base of the scope so I could mount it on a tripod. Cheap plastic base makes it so easy to tip over but what can I expect for less than $50.

Kinda like sky gazing. A powerful scope is great for looking at distant stars and galaxies but totally sux for a meteor shower. Different tools for different jobs. Some of the scopes they have today you can set up in the yard then run it with an app or on your PC indoors. Summers up north here you get eaten alive by huge mosquitos then it's freezing your junk off at -30C in the winter. C'mon mom. You're 96 so it's time to go. Your darling baby boy needs his inheritance. :D

Short of a lottery win that's the only way I'm getting that scope. I'd rather see her hit 100 or more.

:peace: and Happy New Year all!

I dug out my microscope, I didn't use a stand. In all honesty I can get better detail with my phone.
If I use a stand I can get a better image I know, this was used for wire harness building. That setup would be great for inspecting a clipped bud.
