Just need a bit of encouragement I think. I harvested nine plants recently (five different kinds) for my very first grow. (they were autos)
Everything went fine until I chopped them down. then they went from smelling good to smelling icky. Like hay or actual grass.
I wet trimmed and put on drying racks then put in grove bags. It's been about a month, month and a half and the pot still has this icky smell
to it. will that go away? Or is all this pot just garbage? I haven't tried to smoke any of it yet either.
Please tell me this is normal and I'm not the worst farmer ever. hahahah. ug.

It's possible you harvested too early, or didn't dry properly. Any pics of the plants right before you chopped?

Side note - what is the deal with folks waiting over a month to sample their first harvest? Dang, when I finished my first grow I was itching to smoke it before it was even fully dry... it'll still get you high even with zero cure time.

I find that amazing that you don't test it. I have a desiccator I use damp rid and a vacuum can get a reasonable sample in a few days.
My impression is when you harvest determines the type of high. I have a few tasters I use and the response I got was could be cured a little more but great taste.
Like cooking in the kitchen you don't sample the output in the process?
