Is the mid drive quiet?

My hub is quite loud. I'm not sneaking up on anything.

Yes, it's fairly quiet but it's louder if one isn't providing any assist.

Yours sounds like it's been amped up a bit as 32kph is the max speed for an ebike in Ontario.

I raced an etrike once - fecker smoked me! Wish I could mod mine to go faster.

Ok, so the 4 smallest ones sprouted 12/2 - 12/3. Are these about where one would expect them to be in coco at their age? Bumped up the feed strength a bit and started fertigating twice daily a couple of days ago; do they look hungry to anyone else?

I think he’s got a core elite by iGo bikes, it s a rear hub geared motor, not a mid drive. I know it LOOKS like a mid drive, but it isn’t. Planetary geared hub motors are loud, but if you went direct drive, they’re basically silent. On my home made ebike, I made zero noise when under motor power, only the sound of the cassette rotating.

That’s definitely a geared rear hub motor…

You can mod yours to go faster. It’s cost a lot, and it involves adding a front hub direct drive and an additional battery. Get you up about 50+kph depending on the motor you add.

It’ll add a LOT of weight to the bike. Like 40lbs, but if you’re not bringing it up stairs, it’ll still roll nicely. And double your range.

It was interesting when I was riding the Triumph and Honda at the same time, the brake and shifters were on opposite sides. I gently ran into my garage door on the Honda because of that.

When I was a kid, was driving down the road with my dad and we saw a partially disassembled dirtbike in front of someone's house with a FREE sign on it. Turned out to be a Bombardier Can-Am 175. No idea why someone took it apart. We put it back together and the thing ran great. Kickstarter on the left side was so fucking weird. Thought I'd sprained my ankle a few times from starting it.

I'd like to electrify this old Park Lane for the trailer park. May need to equip it with a rear seat belt though.

I can turn almost anything with wheels into a PEV (personal electric vehicle)

The limiting factor is almost always cost
