Yeah pot risers and catch basins are a must have in my opinion. Good luck!Maybe just a stupid pet peeve of mine, but you may want to consider not sitting grow bags directly on the floor.
now I'm curious, why? I've never heard that before.Yeah pot risers and catch basins are a must have in my opinion. Good luck!
With my plastic pots I have them sitting in trays and if they don't have raised rims or something to hold them up a bit I use a glue gun to put bumps on the trays or bottom of the pots so water can get out easier. I rarely have runoff to remove tho.So they don't sit in their runoff and reabsorb flushed nutrients. Assuming you're gonna be using synthetic nutes, at some point you're probably going to be watering to runoff.
thanks, all the years I never knew that. I'll get some.So they don't sit in their runoff and reabsorb flushed nutrients. Assuming you're gonna be using synthetic nutes, at some point you're probably going to be watering to runoff.
Yeah, what he said! I'll add that I vacuum my trays out after a good water to help avoid moisture gnats. So they don't sit in their runoff and reabsorb flushed nutrients. Assuming you're gonna be using synthetic nutes, at some point you're probably going to be watering to runoff.
