What Are You Listening To?

Only been to 2 concerts. No tits, sadly. Considering one of the shows was Blue Oyster Cult in '97, that's probably a good thing.
Crazy... I was a show kid, and I still am. We had a huuuge show scene here. Lots of bands and lots of venues. I used to sell weed to alot of the bands. Smoked weed with alot of cool.guys from bands on their breaks. Lol I'll always remember smoking blunts with Matt and Dave from the planet smashers. Those guys were hilarious. Ska was huge here too. Hardcore, ska, punk....
They'd always let fans come up on stage and skank, then stage dive. Man those were some fun fucking shows. Shit like that doesn't happen anymore.
Shoutout to Canadian ska!
So many good tunes .... So many more but I'll stop here. Lol

I am waiting for them to do a show in my city with their current tour
It was a great show...as always. Lots of new album stuff tho. Still great album but I always hope for some old stuff. Got to see Alex lifeson (rush) play Jambi with them. It was incredible

Daughter mentioned these guys to me as something different to listen to. They were the special guest at a recent Depeche Mode gig she went to. Sounds cool to me!

I was a huge TooL fan since the first time I heard Sober on the radio, pretty sure I was a fat 15yo peddling my broken down 10-speed to my shitty dishwashing job. Was pretty much hooked ever since...until 10,000 Days. Some excellent songs on there, but it was their first CD that I just didn't like as a complete work. Honestly, I didn't even give their last CD more than 5 minutes listen before deciding I was probably just better off not hearing any of it. Really hard to say, but I think Lateralus is probably my favorite album of theirs. Of course, that answer could easily change by next week.

For some odd reason, I've never dove into the Tool anthology. I say odd because the band really is right up my alley fpor progressive music content and thought provoking lyrics. They'll be my next ear worm dive.

thought provoking lyrics.
Their instrumental arrangements are pretty much masterful, but it was always the lyrics that really drew me in. If you're going to do a deep dive, I'd suggest go chronologically. Start with Opiate and go from there. Most of their albums are fairly drastically different from the previous one.
