Timing of Seaweed Foliar Application.

Hello,

Quick question, I want to use seaweed as a foliar feed to help with stress of topping/ transplanting ect, when is the best time to use this.

Would you do it the day before stress, the day the stress occurs or the day after you ha e stressed the plant?

Any input appreciated!

Spray before feeds whats the come pre workout , spray after gets right in and helps , after is good before too fuck it is spray chop spray I don’t think it matters i kelp most feeds lol

Also dont foliar feed unless you really need to cos your just boosting the amount of nitrosamines in your weed chances are and thats nasty cancer causing shit when you do foliar feed plants they can only process a tiny bit of nitrogen via foliar the plant stores the rest as nitrosamines as it cant process it just feed your plants normally and it dont matter if its salts or organics btw they both got nitrogen in em so same risk

Wow thanks for the input guys. Thought If i kept things natural I would reduce the risk of u healthy weed and now I find out I have been doing that!

Do you have any suggested reading on the subject of nitrosamines or is this a well known thing already?

You dont really need to if you dont foliar feed man its just the reason i dont reccomend it and dont do it myself i grow organic too but nitrogen is nitrogen be it salts or organic and through foliar feeding cannabis can only process so much before storing it the form of nitrosamines

I foliar Armor SI on my girls around transplant time but also add myco components to container also.

I mix a simple 1/2 teaspoon per gallon water - ph near 6.5 and spray bottle fill. The rest of water is used for simple plant watering or remixed with maxibloom for my coco plants ( at 5.8 ph ) .

I mist the plant after transplant.

I also foliar kelp during veg in intervals during grow - it contains valuable micronutrients and hormones for vigorous growth ( Kelp can grow rapidly, with some species capable of growing up to half a meter (1.6 feet) per day under optimal conditions. Factors like nutrient availability, water temperature, and sunlight influence the growth rate of kelp. )

I understand the issue of nitrosamines but … that “ problem “ is also in meat / water / dairy AND other sources. So I don’t over react on those things. There worse things around you daily that will harm you.

1 capful per gallon. SIMPLE SHIT.

It was at home depot but not sure if still available - they used to carry Dr. Earth soils but for some reason stop selling that too :(

Maybe a local nursery ?

Have you tried simple foliars like kelp and calmag? Even use diluted nutes. It gives a boost but your environment has to be on point.

Yes I've grown for a little while and I've tried foliar feeding and what not but it's not for me.
