That's gotta ba a f'ing nightmare! After 7 leg surgeries I was prescribed that scourge of the lands, oxycontin ( I had never heard of it , unfortunately). That shit sank its claws into pretty damn quick. Made me feel like Superman......what knee problems? Fast forward a couple years + .......I was a f'ing mess, skin and bones,
Heroin Shiek.....6ft 3in ......140lbs........normally 180. I quit cold turkey, a real ride to Hell.

Quitting cold turkey... you should be _very_ proud of yourself!! The ride through hell no doubt sucked, but at least you came out the other side, quite literally millions did not.

That shit was marketed to doc's as being totally different from other opioids and they bought that bullshit... hook, line and sinker.

There's an extra special circle in Hell in Dante's Inferno for the Sackler family.

1970's irony anyone? I was a sophomore at Humboldt State University in 1978 when I got caught bringing my harvest out of the mountains near Willow Creek. It would have been several pounds dried. The judge was cool and told me he would ignore all charges if I went downstairs and joined the military. He said "the military will clean you up". I joined the USAF. After a few months of basic training and technical school they sent me to England, where we traded bottles of Jack Daniels for ounces of red Lebanese and Afghan black hash. Clean me up? I spent 4 years in the USAF higher than Cheech and Chong at a grateful Dead concert. I'd be in a hanger working on F4 fighter planes with a block of hash the size of a pack of cigarettes in my front pocket.

How’d it work achieved nothing in my opinion ? Just wondering your take on it
Instead of sending you to prison and condemning you to the straight, corporate life after you got out, or being a total gangster from what you learned in prison, you took a fucking horrible situation and made the best of it.

And you've got lifelong medical benefits. ;)

Didn't mean to offend. :)

Thanks for the sentiment. I did come out on the other side. However I feel that " Bitch " robbed me of something intangible , perhaps a chunk of my MoJo .

Medicare advantages' low/$0 premiums look attractive but make sure you read the pros and cons carefully. Once you're enrolled, if you want to switch to a more conventional Medicare/supplemental plan, you may be required to undergo medical underwriting.
