Using earth dust organic dry amendments that cooked for two weeks.
I was using softened tap water from the sink that sat out for a few days to limit chlorine and plants were great up until I switched to tap water outside the softener (hose from outside that isn’t softened) thinking it would be less salt. Well it’s pretty hard bc as soon as I used the non softened water this happened almost immediately within 2-3 days for all new growth lol.
being that this is earth dust you want to keep the soil moist so the bacteria doesn’t die so gave it a good amount of water before I ran into these problems with a mulch layer to keep everything moist.
It’s literally been almost 10 days and the soil is still very moist and growth has slowed tremendously after a lot of good growth until switching water… if anything old / healthy fan leaves are getting very large but hardly any if any new growth.
usually at about 75 deg and 80% humidity but going to cut that back so it pulls less moisture of of the air..
Would love some help I’ve taken a 3 year break so I’m a little rusty.
Should I flush the sh*t out of it and let it get some clean water…? I’ve since got some RO water to use going forward and plan on adding cal mag with it and letting the earth dust dry ammendments do the rest. Also have live worms in the growing medium.
TIA
