The cost of running a Migro Aray 3 at different wattages for a certain number of hours a day over a period of weeks depends on the electricity rate in your area. You can calculate the cost using the following formula:
Cost=Power (kW)×Time (hours)×Electricity Rate (per kWh)×Number of DaysCost=Power (kW)×Time (hours)×Electricity Rate (per kWh)×Number of Days
Assuming the electricity rate is £0.129 per kWh1, which is the forecasted price for 2024 in the UK:
- For the Migro Aray 3 running at 125 watts (or 0.125 kW) for 18 hours a day for 4 weeks (or 28 days), the cost would be:
Cost=0.125 kW×18 hours/day×£0.129 per kWh×28 days=£81.756Cost=0.125kW×18hours/day×£0.129per kWh×28days=£81.756
Rounding off to the nearest penny, this would be approximately £81.76.
- For the Migro Aray 3 running at 250 watts (or 0.25 kW) for 18 hours a day for 6 weeks (or 42 days), the cost would be:
Cost=0.25 kW×18 hours/day×£0.129 per kWh×42 days=£245.268Cost=0.25kW×18hours/day×£0.129per kWh×42days=£245.268
Rounding off to the nearest penny, this would be approximately £245.27.
So, the total cost of running the Migro Aray 3 at 125 watts for 4 weeks and then at 250 watts for 6 weeks would be £81.76 + £245.27 =
£327.03.
- For the Migro Aray 3 running at 100 watts (or 0.1 kW) for 18 hours a day for 4 weeks (or 28 days), the cost would be:
Cost=0.1 kW×18 hours/day×£0.129 per kWh×28 days=£65.376Cost=0.1kW×18hours/day×£0.129per kWh×28days=£65.376
Rounding off to the nearest penny, this would be approximately £65.38.
- For the Migro Aray 3 running at 200 watts (or 0.2 kW) for 18 hours a day for 4 weeks (or 28 days), the cost would be:
Cost=0.2 kW×18 hours/day×£0.129 per kWh×28 days=£130.752Cost=0.2kW×18hours/day×£0.129per kWh×28days=£130.752
Rounding off to the nearest penny, this would be approximately £130.75.
So, the total cost of running the Migro Aray 3 at 100 watts for 4 weeks and then at 200 watts for 4 weeks would be £65.38 + £130.75 =
£196.13.
In arrears with the utility co' so £327 in 10 weeks will be taking the piss and they'll be round with a locksmith, what i'm wondering is, is it possible to veg at 100w and flower at 200w and still get a decent result? Would anyone care to estimate how much i will lose in yield please?
Thanks in advance for any advice issued!
