I don't have microbiology in my coco. I run my nutrient solution sterile. Yes coco needs more watering, because it doesn't hold moisture like peat, which is commonly the base for potting soil.

your way is using chem nutes so direct absorption, no need for microbes or fungi to break down organics, so faster absorption , you too beneficiate of constant moisture, just that you need to be careful with ph and feed the right amount if not over or under feed, thats why i like bio, no ph mettering, no ec /ppm no nothing, just grow/bloom nutes + myco + water
oh and i have to add i have acces to underground spring water that flows out non stop from the depths of the earth, it has slightly alcaline propieties but im sure my microbes and the plant itself are regulating that acidity

Hold your hand right above the plant. If it starts to feel hot, raise the light.

thats a good way to tell if your light is too close but some ir is good for cannabioid prodduction you want to feel your hand warm, not hot thats the sweet point, warm to human hand is 27 celcius
hell just keep the middle of the plants at 27 if using led and 25 if using hps/mh
keeping that temperature with led lights is hard, they hardly radiate any ir
so you have to warm all of the grow space to ambient 25 (that sucks if your grow op is in your room lol)
and i feel like heaters in the grow tent are a no no

i know but my led fixture does emmit some due to the bulbs getting hot;
they probably get like 90c at the pcb
and my plants are foxtailing but just the tops, thats an indicative they are getting hot
when an object is heated, its atoms and molecules gain energy, and as a result, they emit infrared radiation as thermal radiation.

Yea I get that, I used to grow in l.o.s. i grow indoor though, and I was sick of all the bugs, worms, and just general nastiness.

That's well used, but regardless new coco has plenty of life in it.

Edit...I should add im using 4/5 ppm of chlorine with every feed.

Yea I know. It's organic material, of course it's going to have microbial life, but for me, 1st to last waterings, keep my coco sterile. I'm not against microbes, and I do prefer organic. Just doesn't seem right having fungus, bacteria, bugs, worms, growing in my house. Not to mention I get no more gnats. Lol

Guys, please tell me I did topping the right way! I just pulled it with my hands! I have 4 feet total height which is very limited so I pulled the 5th node.

looks ok , remove your thermohigrometer from the pot if you want correct rh readings tho
