about a month

about a month maybe a little longer. And I grabbed some organic soil from a store I forget what brand but I can find out. Usually every 3 days. I don’t pour a lot in since I don’t want to over water it. Just get the top a little moist.
They might still be overwatered at this stage. I would wait until the container feels light, say less than a quarter of what it would weigh after being watered to runoff.

After reading that last comment, I would say check out the hlg 100, or any similar quantum board. Just make sure you are looking for true wattage and not the bullshit 1000w equivalent marketing they like to slap on cheap lights.

Right!! Guess I should have looked a little closer, at least for me it’s hard to tell if it’s too much or too little water. I used to water more frequently when I first started but the leaves started drooping. And they kinda twisted too. thought i put too much. It was worse than this but don’t have a pic

It takes some getting used to. Everyone wants to love them to death when we start, but its better to let them get a little too dry than stay too wet.

Drybacks allow the roots to get more oxygen and prevents pathogens from taking hold.

I could have sworn the box said 100 watt but I just looked at light bulb and it says 14w 2700k. Thinks it’s just not getting enough light
Always got to be careful with LEDs you see them advertise as equivalent watts(how strong of a BULB they are replacing) gotta make sure your going off true power draw

OK now I'm confused. I do the light pot method to know when to run my synthetic. Make the roots chase all the moisture out the pot for Maximum root growth, Water like every 3ish days, maybe 2 during weeks 4-5, thought organic was the opposite let the microbes eat as much as possible not water to run off or even fully saturated the soil but can't let your culture get dehydrated

I was using the weight of the pot after being watered to runoff as an example more than anything. You have to feel a pot fully saturated and dry to really get the range, you know? Soil is not my Forte.

here is your issue. When your growing in organic you need to keep the soil moist and never let it dry out completely. You have a microbe culture that eats the soil and digest it into nutrients avaliable for uptake. When the soil drys out your microbes die and stop eating the organic matter

Yeah that's under powered
Honestly, this sounds like a recipe for overwatering. The common wisdom in soil is to water when the pot feels light - when it’s a bit dried out, atleast on the top layers. This is every three days or so with me. Surely there’s still moisture in the lower layers, but it’s important to let the soil dry out a bit between waterings also.

Sounds like you’re giving advice more attuned to coco, which does need to be kept moist at all times, apparently. I’ve only grown in soil myself. And I let things get pretty dry on the top layers between waterings. Another common suggestion is to wait until it’s dry two knuckles deep. But you get the idea. I water when the pots feel light. Learned that here, and it has worked well

You don't have enough light and you don't have enough heat.

Adding some more light will increase the temps.

I won't talk about soil because that's not my thing.
But essentially your lack of light and heat is causing a lack of transpiration and an iron deficiency and a lot of stretch.

Now there's nothing wrong with household led bulbs, they will work, they are not amazing in comparison to something that was designed for plant growth , but they will work if you have enough of them.

You could probably add 3-4 more and that'll help for veg, but you really want to sort your lighting out for flowering, that requires a lot more light

I was brought up on soil and salts. Weak ass soil my pots have more perlite then soil in them. My understanding was you water to run off to push out the old salt residue out to prevent it locking out uptake. I plan to switch to organics on my next run, because want to be lazier+ kinda broke atm. I thought I was repeating the advice from organic growers here on rui. I know if my veggie garden dose not get daily water my maters, peppers and cukes are not happy about it. OP is definitely not watering to run off "just get the top a little moist" I normally let it pool 3times before I get the level of run off I look for. I think we are all in agreement that he needs more light and heat. So since we are there I'll go ahead and say wattage is not a direct relationship to photons, and all the advice on wattage he will find her will be in reference to grow lights, which are more efficient at directing photons to the plant he's gonna want to get a photon meter app on his phone and report his ppfd and lummin numbers
