Oh okay I was a little confused too. You think that weird coloring may be fading beginning already? I think I still have over a month on them. I actually put the thermostat back up today because I started a couple new seedlings.lol no I was just posting to the op that the color change can happen with the temps he is running. Wasn’t jumping in to talk about my grow.
my plants have been harvested
Its winter here and house temp can be hard to maintain. Plus I was under the idea that colder temps = better terp retention and production? I thought the stress made it produce more and they don't volatilize since the air is so coldLooks like normal fade, most in house strains fade like that.
Look at the stems, if they are fully green then it's probably not a def.
Yours look a bit light purple with green which means you can probably push more P and K but it's looks like your on the edge of overfeeding so choose your feeding carefully (what you put in terms of what elements and how much)
Also, why are you growing in 74f ?
Are you trying to grow ice cubes or plants ?
Temps in grow should be 80+ for elements to move properly within the plant.
There is some merit in a very low rh and cold temps when it comes to late flowering, the people over in india swear by the cold nights at the mountains as the factor for the extra frost and trichomes, also here I've seen people do it with success. Its winter here and house temp can be hard to maintain. 300w led in this one. It smells so rank. What kind of lights are you using?
I ran into the same problem when I switched to led last summer. I usually run closer to 78 degrees with the hps and when I ran the same temp with led my plants suffered. I had to raise my temp up to between 82 and 84 degrees, and also lowered my wattage down some until the plants recovered. Then once recovered, I would raise the wattage up in small increments every few days until the plants stayed happy. I have used hps since 2009 and back then the mention of led would get you run out of town.300w led in this one. It smells so rank.
You shouldn’t see fade until late flower like week 8-12. Your plants look really good I wouldn’t go too crazy adjusting things. I think others have mentioned already but looks like you were just lacking a little N during the stretch period the first 21 days into flower. The demand for N will drop off after that stretch so I wouldn’t change what your doing and make adjustments for your next grow. Its like, 4th week rn. I didn't know leafs would fade like that if its not a issue
I haven't yet. They actually stopped stretching but I failed to feed enough N before switching to bloom which was very apparent. They've recovered now actually looking much better. I hit the top soil with worm castings, watered them in and then mulched with rice hulls. Seems to have helped them in every way. I'm guessing the soil ph was starting to take a hit as well as just general salt buildup plus it was a lil too cold for them. I do want them to fade pretty hard ill drop the temps into the 60s here in like 3 or 4 weeks then. You shouldn’t see fade until late flower like week 8-12.
