my chili is sirloin chunks, ground beef, lots of bell peppers, onion, tomatoes, and beans. no pasta. seasoning is cumin, garlic and onion powder, smoked paprika, oregano, s&p. served with cornbread and a dollop of sour cream.
looking outside at the snow right now makes me wanna stir some up for dinner tonight.

Do you use whole tomatoes in your chili? I could see that cutting the acidity while stewing whole tomatoes.

i can whole tomatoes each summer, and i put those in. they're soft enough that they break down while it's all simmering.

I use canned stewed tomatoes

Not sure what expensive is or what you require when flying, or where you are flying, but I just got round trip to Orlando for $200ish with the cheap option on southwest.

Your gonna have a blast there,nice weather, man. Yea my nephew just moved 45 min from there. Cost 75 for a ticket for when I go to see him

Oh yeah. My brother and sil snowbird down there. The last 2 years, we skate at all the skateparks within an hour and a half from the house in Kissimmee. This year, we will skate a couple times, but we will be playing a shit ton of disc golf. And then we will hit up the chess.com invitational (as spectators lol) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It will be our first pro disc golf event. We are stoked!!!

I use canned stewed tomatoes

I was just going to say that using them makes it so good breaks down to sauce. Also sweet tasting I had a perfect recipe took years four different hot peppers,and Mexican chili powder. They stopped selling it. It was the key.

Going to be wet for awhile around here but the storms are rather warm again. The weather guy says the ski resorts should get some good snow monday but it's going to be Sierra cement.


Checked the battery cables on my car yesterday, they were fine. Verified the key for the driver door actually works in case of a dead battery. There was enough charge to start it but it had to think about it for a second.

You drive right past it on 5 when you are headed to Oregon. You can see it for a long ways off. There is a cinder cone right next to the road. We have Mt Lassen also which is considered active because it has hot springs by it.

I used to live in Yreka, Mt Shasta is most definitely the prominent feature for many miles in any direction.
