What dehumidifier to get for a 24" x 24" x 56 " tent.

I tried one of of Amazon but it doesn't work very well. It's been running for about 12 hours and there is only a few drops in it.

I'm looking for something with a physical on/off switch so I can hook it to my Inkbird humidity controller. I don't have a lot of space to sit one. Only around 6" x 10" space. I have a 4" 110 CFM fan on the exhaust running full time. The humidity in the house is 35%.

My baby is flowering and I need the humidity lower than 68%.

This is the one I tried.

EDIT:
i just looked up your dehumidifier it can remove 10oz's of water daily? LMFAO thats less than 1 pint......

my black and decker dehumid can remove up to 30 pints a day thats 480 oz's lol

and your dehumidifier doesnt let you pick the humidity that you want your room too be does it?

That's pricey. I also have a 5 gallon fabric pot and 2 gallon fabric pot in the tent and I have them sitting in trays. Thus hardly any room.

I'm trying to keep the price down around $75.00 or less.

I'm using an Inkbird humidity controller to turn it on and off.

I had it controlling my exhaust fan and it was working perfectly until one of babies started flowering.

oh bro your trying too put it inside of the tent? dang thats tough......

and

at 75 dollars i doubt you can buy one with a adjustable humidistat(this is very important for growing bud).

my only tip is the dehumid that you currently have can only extract 10oz of moisture a day..... the one i have can extract 480oz's a day.... the next one you buy make sure it can extract a good amount of moisture a day or its worthless for growing pot.

ive seen cheap crap on amazon like the vivosun dehumidifier for grow tents for 55 dollars but it can only extract 13oz's of moisture day which is only 3 oz's more a day than your current one....

dont keep spending money on cheap stuff that isnt gonna work, good luck man.

I use an Inkbird humidity controller to control it. I have it hooked to my exhaust fan at the moment. It was working great unto my plant started flowering and the humidity shot up.

I have my Inkbird set to 50%. I can't get the humidity to go lower. Also when the lights come on the humidity shoots up.

My humidity controller.

So these small dehumidifiers are just toys not fit for purpose.

Buy one that is enough for the room the air is coming from.

Or look at other options to lower humidity, like mild defoliation, hard plastic pots,

Humidity in the room is 35%. Humidity in the tent is usually 60%. Even with my exhaust fan running all the time.

The problem with a larger unit is it won't fit in my tent.

I'm gonna second the motion that you need to get more of the dry air from the room to pass through the tent. If you can get the room the tent is in to the ideal conditions, it will be much much more stable and ultimately easier to control than the small area inside the tent.

I would look into turning the exhaust fan up a bit or maybe as Hollatchaboy mentioned, get an intake fan to help pull a little more dry air in.

That's good to know. There is plenty of airflow. I have a Spider Farmer 6" oscillating fan in the tent.

I was just going by the charts I've seen on flowering. They all point to lower humidity during flowering.
That will depend greatly on what you are growing. Some strains are much more resistant to mold growth. But, it's never a bad idea to err on the side of caution and get it lower if you can.

Not to beat a dead horse, but if the humidity in the tent is significantly higher than in the room, you need to increase your exhaust speed/rate at which the air gets exchanged. That will also suppress the humidity spikes when the lights turn off.

If the RH of the room is really only 35% you probably don't need a dehumidifier unless it goes up or fluctuates. Your exhaust should be able to keep the RH inside the tent within 5-10 points of the room, especially with such a small tent

Dont worry too much about the price of the dehumidifier. After just a few months you paid more for electricity.
If you have 35 % rh in the room use that as dehumidification and save a lot on electricity.
Also check your humidity sensor. It might read incorrectly.

I just set the humidity back to 60% and have my exhaust fan hooked up to my Inkbird humidity controller. I'm just going to finish it out there.

There is also a youngling in the tent still in veg mode.
