Does Joe Biden have the cognitive function to run the country for another four years?

  • Yes

  • No

  • I don't believe Joe Biden is struggling with some type of cognitive decline.

I actually just realized I couldn't see the results because I hadn't cast my vote yet and because of the way I formatted the poll. My mistake, this was my first post and poll here.

The people who tell us that there was no insurrection and attack on the Capitol Building are telling us that BIDEN has a memory problem?

They should get their memory checked.

You're assuming lots of things here as I haven't spoke on any of the issues you're referencing

He kept more than his lawyers disclosed and it’s just funny how polished the response all was last year. He pointed at Trump - Trump pointed at Biden - but both of them kept classified documents in a supposedly improper manner.

from the report

“The special counsel said Mr. Biden's conduct "present[ed] serious risks to national security, given the vulnerability of extraordinarily sensitive information to loss or compromise to America's adversaries…But addressing those risks when pursuing criminal charges, the only means available to this office, is not the proper remedy here."
The handling of sensitive information that is a risk to US national security is an issue and I don't think anyone is questioning that; but this is not specific to Biden, or even TFFG, it's an issue with the administration of the Office. Do you see anyone bringing up that Pence had classified information that was not secured? According to the report, it has been an issue with every administration since Reagan.

No; but you did start this thread with a loaded question.

I did, but it still has nothing to do with trump or my political beliefs. It's a question that needs to be asked and I don't have any hidden agenda when asking. I wanted people's opinions on the actual question.

The president has his finger on the trigger of a large nuclear arsenal. I don't think it's asking too much for them to remain sharp.

I am not suggesting you have a hidden agenda. Your plainly-stated agenda is evident in your phrase
given his obviously advanced state of cognitive decline,
It is the factuality of that embedded statement that I challenge. Will you produce links to text journalism backing your assertion— from a clean (no Murdochs or Gateway Pundit etc.) source of text journalism?

If so, we can discuss.

If not, my assessment of loaded question, and the implication that this was meant to be a trolling thread, stands.

If Pence had been charged but not Biden then tRump might have a bit of valid argument about a witch hunt but like Biden, Pence fully cooperated with authorities when asked for the documents. Neither had to have search warrants obtained to get at the documents and Biden even allowed a search of his personal residence.

tRump repeatedly lied about having any documents at all. Tried to have security footage of documents being moved deleted. Lied to his lawyers which caused them to inadvertently lie to authorities about him being in possession of documents. I wonder what might still might be in his possession behind the locked room under the stairs and another room that for some reason wasn't searched.

Biden is not without sin either. He made a few lies in his press report about the incident and his not being prosecuted as the following link from a good source points out.

I think the fact that he referenced speaking with two people who were dead during the time he referenced and confusing the president of Egypt with Mexico is a problem imo. All in the last week or so. If you pay any attention to politics and have watched him speak over the years it's clear to me and many others that he is having issues.

To me it is very plausible that the Mexico thing was aphasia, anger or both. Neither of those two indicates cognitive decline or other issues.

Without you providing links to quality reporting, my challenge to the factuality, even honesty, of your claim stands.

I am not trying to offend anyone, but it appears that the American people are easlily distracted, and if youtell them things two or three times they just believe it?Maybe it is time for an I.Q. test to be qualified to vote, just a thought?Maybe you should have to take a drivers test after 70,just seems to be a good idea!Just saying.I will be 71 in March and I think thats a sound plan. Please take no offense, somethings need to change.
it's the result of the digital tech,we are now reaping the results of a 100% wired society, people getting what passes for news on their phones on non vetted web sites that call themselves "news", having algorythims that feed them unobjective BS based on their past usage,in other words no way we are where we are at now if people were reading newspapers(remember them) .They strove to tell objective news, issued corrections, needed reliable sourcing, and were overseen by a editor and ombudsman to keep things real, combined w/the majority of the nation catching national news on 3 major networks. We now accept politician's actions that would finish them 20 yrs. ago,and a certain Orange dickhead would have no chance of getting the game he's playing off the ground then,I don't even think he'd be taken seriously although you need to be at least 40yrs. old to understand this.

It's not like any president has a big red button on his desk to launch missiles with. There's a whole lot of people who are involved in a nuclear strike before the football is opened and codes used to facilitate a launch.

tRump is much more of a problem in that regard as he surrounds himself with sycophants who would be much more likely than Biden's team to go along with a spurious launch.

Maybe Trump simply forgot about all this and isn't lying?

“I cooperated far more” than Joe Biden in the classified documents investigations.

"I did nothing wrong, and I cooperated far more," Trump wrote in a Feb. 8 statement.

It will be up to a jury to decide whether Trump did "nothing wrong." But his statement that he cooperated far more than Biden is absurd.

Robert Hur, the special counsel who investigated Biden, summarized Trump’s lack of cooperation in a report about Biden’s case.

"Most notably, after being given multiple chances to return classified documents and avoid prosecution, Mr. Trump allegedly did the opposite," Hur wrote. "According to the indictment, he not only refused to return the documents for many months, but he also obstructed justice by enlisting others to destroy evidence and then to lie about it. In contrast, Mr. Biden turned in classified documents to the National Archives and the Department of Justice, consented to the search of multiple locations including his homes, sat for a voluntary interview and in other ways cooperated with the investigation."

Man,the obscenity of this guy's lies and twisting of reality are unrecognizable,in relation to what he can put out there to be taken as fact by his supporters. His balls are so big now he's gonna throw his back out w/the weight of em hunching him forward, upon his death his brain should be studied as he has attained a whole new level in pathological lying,so stunningly obvious that how could ANYBODY w/the slightest capacity to objectively reason trust him w/anything let alone the oval office? I'm miffed that an arch scoundrel of his ilk is considered a viable candidate to lead this nation, how could any rational human being convince themselves to vote for him irregardless of policy.Do they ACTUALLY think they won't be lied to?

To the bolded, my thoughts on this are that the model for cult behavior applies to his supporters. Most probably do believe their cult leader without question, or maybe they suppress their disbelief in order to remain in good standing with the Temple of Trump*. Trump has been caught outright on camera and audio making serious lies in the face of hard evidence to the contrary without shaking their belief in him. So, I don't know if they think they won't be lied to but from their words and actions, they reject people who say that he lied even when he's proven to have lied. Sometimes, they just laugh it off by saying he didn't mean it and was just kidding around. As in "locker room talk". So, maybe they know he's lied to them but they don't seem to care.

That thing about the time he mixed up Pelosi and Haley when talking about the attack on our Capitol Building. They even laughed that off. I don't understand but I recognize that it happens from time to time.

Here's a list of some of tRump's recent lies.

:peace:
Incredible, more incredible that a way larger % of my country's pop. that I'm comfortable with robustly support him, this isn't me merely disagreeing w/my fellow citizens over political differences, it has reached a point that is irreconsilable pertaining to the human qualities of dignity, humility, integrity, even, I hate to say soul,it is that profound today more than eclipsing politics in general.
