Why junk it?i can clean it….Mold you breathe will probably kill you over time. Forget the weed and protect yourself. My advice is junk the thing out and get a new one. Dieing from breathing mold is not a very nice way to go.
I got it!Agree … shitcan it. Not only does it sound like mold propagated, it most likely throwing spores everywhere. Stachybotrys and similar require constant moisture for its growth.
Stachybotrys chartarum and other molds may cause health symptoms that are nonspecific. It is not necessary to determine what type of mold you may have growing in your home or other building. All molds should be treated the same with respect to potential health risks and removal.
I appreciate your answer ,i will take things apart.Mold requires water, food, and oxygen to grow. It also requires an environment with a temperature it can survive.
Mold grows on materials that it can digest – and it can digest a lot. It can metabolize virtually any organic (carbon-containing) matter in nature, making it practically impossible to remove all food sources of mold from your environment.
If you decide to “ clean “ unit - you may unknowingly expose yourself to more spores - mask up at a minimum. Not sure how far you want to chase the issue - but you may have to take things apart instead of surface cleaning.

??In normal conditions- mold spores are everywhere- they will grow only if the environment allows
If your plants are more important than your health then there's nothing I can add that will be worth writing. Why junk it?i can clean it….
And what about my question?
You did not understand me yet….i dont have mold on my plants….read my question againIf your plants are more important than your health then there's nothing I can add that will be worth writing.
But, to directly answer your question, after you grow and harvest your weed I personally wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Whether it shows up on the weed or not as far as I'm concerned the plants are contaminated.
I hope this is a direct enough answer to satisfy you. This is as far as I go with this thread. MY MAIN ADVICE IS TO LISTEN TO @Budzbuddha. He is probably one of the best on this forum to take advice from.
