We're just riding the Medicare (Doughnut Hole Express) Train. We have no income but the savings/investments/etc...etc...etc. we made along the way (vs. spending it all...LOL) preclude us from any assistance. I'm glad it's there for those who need it though. Both of us worked outside the SS system quite a bit as well...so while we do get a check it isn't as large as most folks are seeing. We do our part to drag down the average monthly payout, for sure. It is nice to have some money coming in though...paltry as it may be. Heehee.Have you folks checked into any of the patient/manufacture assistance programs available? Surprising of some of the resources available even if you think your income will/would prevent you from participating.
