What would you say is better dude? Would you say pool shock is better then using h2o2 in my res? I was taking a look at this old post and it says I can make up $2000 worth for $4 https://www.rollitup.org/t/make-2200-worth-of-clear-rez-for-4.423650/ on page 4 they go on to say that they make a solution and use 1gram of HTH pool shock to 1 gallon of water and then add 5ml of that solution per gallon into the res

We get humped with prices in the UK.

Still we can buy kg of chlorine granules for around £15 that would be my 1st choice for my reservior, afaik chlorine is more stable than H202 but it does break down overtime and needs refreshing like H202 does.

Just one 5g chlorine tablet is enough for 2500ltr at 5ppm so it's much more economical.

Yeah you are right lol the UK has been getting super expensive lately. How much would be needed for a 100 liter reservior then if a 5g tablet is enough for 2500 liters? I'm guessing 0.2 grams of pool shock per 100 liters if my calculations are right? lol I could always make a stock solution up but I don't know the math of it all. The last thing I want to do is put too much in my res and kill my plants lol

What's the blue cheese like ? Not seen any of that floating around for a while nearly died out around south wales still cheese but it's never proper cheese or anything reminiscent of it

Yeah bud you make a stock solution with it, it's very difficult to measure 4/5 ppm but relatively easy to measure 500 ppm then dilute it 100x to get 4/5 ppm.

15 years, seems like yesterday, I remember the day you started the thread lol. I'm still on 4x 600hps, price I'm paying for electricity is frigging scandalous. I may change to led if I can save enough to buy a few belters. Hope life has been good to you brother. Evening Men.

Aye still on hps myself your not kidding about the price tho bloody energy companies there the real crooks anyway 15 years is a blink true but it is a fair bit for a thread to be still going tho kudos to @lozac123 for starting it years back

Yeah bud you make a stock solution with it, it's very difficult to measure 4/5 ppm but relatively easy to measure 500 ppm then dilute it 100x to get 4/5 ppm.

I'm just super confused man because my tap water is about 200 or 300pm and I'm not sure if I should be using RO water to make the stock solution or if I should add it to my tap water and add 500ppm of pool shock ontop of the tap water ppm or what lol I'm super confused and I am high which only makes things harder to understand lol and then how would I know if I've added 5 ppm to my res because I have an EC pen and it doesn't read in ppm it only reads in EC

A mate gave me a cut of it that he's had going for years. But I've not tried it yet.

I used to run one about 8 year ago for a few years and that was one of my favourite strains.
Think it was the barney's farm BC I had back then.

Does barneys still stock it from the original parents I wonder ? You could probably find something decent if they do

When I think back to what I've done and been threw in 15 years, I wouldn't have imagined it. Majority of it shite I might add, I miss the early days with Sambo and Zed and MG, all are good blokes, always looked after me.

Nah mate years ago was ok there triple cheese which is a cheese bx1 is better than there current one ime there old one was good but now not so much defo different parents

You're tap water is only 2/3 ppm of chlorine and a mixture of calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc etc making up the total 200/300ppm.

I can't find the chlorine mixing instructions but I'll post them when i do.

Ec/ppm meters don't measure chlorine ppm, to measure chlorine ppm you need a specific chlorine test meter.

Thanks dude, I never knew that. I guess I will need to invest into a chlorine test meter. I never knew they existed to be fair.

There's no need to go buying a chlorine test meter.
The instructions for mixing up a chlorine stock solution are straightforward and well tried and tested.

If the ppm is that important buy tablets instead but remember to check there's guidelines for ppm/ltr, I'd be curious about the cost of a chlorine test meter I don't expect they'd be cheap?
