Well... let's assume you were hired as the General Manager at a car Dealership in 2020. By now, you have raised costs and expenses, got the Service Dept and Body Shop in a war with each other, pissed off your sales staff because you haven't changed the pay plan, or offered bonuses for extra effort, everybody is mad at you, and after 3 1/2 years you promise the owner that you'll do better..... too late, pack your shit.

To answer this question...Yes. Yes I am better off as a Canadian because I just watched Jumpin' Joe Biden absolutely riff through that State of the Union Speech. Even though he had to compose himself and slow down after the 3 toed sloth deked out in MAGA garb threw out some nonsensical gibberish. 
I watched it on CNN, and at the end?
WTF is with this Jake Tapper guy chirping about the few times he mentioned Trump? That wasn't the f$%# message that I got out of that speech. Glad he made the MAGA goofs twitch for some time, but he kept it pretty low key. Tapper aside, the actual message was clear, but who knows how many promises are to be kept. For whatever reason.

"Riffing", is accrued from guitar terminology which I apply, as a guitar player myself for close to 40 years, to the types of phrasing and crowd attention one commands with words. Some may call it "rapping" or "communicating in an effective manner", depending on which type of background you may come from.

Sucks that you feel this way about where things are at, as shit is hitting the fan in my country too. Especially when it comes to the average homeowners bottom line. It'll work out at the end. I don't know enough about US politics to be too specific, but I did question him on the marijuana riffage he was laying down again. Sounded like a repeated phrase in the same key. And yes.... he promised a lot of things in the 2019 debates that have not been delivered..... and he had changed his strategy on immigration policy to snag a few more republican votes. I've talked with other people in the World... sure they pay taxes, some even high taxes, but everything is paid for. Free healthcare, no property taxes, grocery tax, or no other taxes, at all... Where else in the World do you get taxed on the money you make, spend, and also get taxed on things you own outright?... or don't even own at all?, and then pay for Healthcare, auto insurance, property, anything you buy or sell gets taxed. This is why they are trying so hard to push digital currency. I got a notice from my Credit Union where I have a checking and savings account last year that I may be monitored on any transaction I do over $600 from the Federal Fucking Government.

The average age is one thing I'd like to see changed to a younger demographic in politics. Not to be offensive to any of my elders, but I was half expecting carts of porridge and bran muffins to be carted about during the ceremonies.
