Woah, Cannabis plant is Regrowing pistils?

Northern lights autoflowers entering week 8 of flower. The nugs look solid and SMELL GREAT. However they look very small still and aren't fat and dense. I believe I was overfeeding at some point towards late flower on one plant, but since backed off. One plant the nugs are much larger, and the other the nugs are smaller and leaves are much darker. This plant is DANK though tons of sticky oil everytime i touch it.

See the last picture to see all the new white pistils shot off from the very top main cola.

1. does it look ready to harvest?
2. Why did the one cola (last pic) start shooting off a bunch of pistils at this late stage of flower?

Thanks!

The plants looks great, not sure, but I think the buds have a little more swelling to do (week or two). As for the new pistils, it's starting to foxtail a bit, not a bad thing usually, but don't judge ripeness using those new pistils, go by the old caylxes.

Seems to have a higher leaf to calyx. The higher leaf to calyx ratio in cannabis plants can be influenced by various factors such as genetics, environmental conditions, and cultivation practices.

Im thinking its the genetics of this particular plant. Upper pistil growth happens when upper portions of bud are in a area of intense lighting. It happens- matter of fact many plants are harvested with some white pistils still showing.

You are looking for a high average of pistils ( all over bud ) to be receded. If it is then cut .

Plants look pretty good!

As you dial in your grow, you may notice the buds aren't as big, but they will be less leafy, and more dense (not saying they won't grow fat colas)

Keep them going a little bit, you won't regret it!

so if i see more of these white things then chop?

Some parts of the plant are very high amber trichomes other parts have zero amber trichomes. when looking at the most average part of the plant/average height there are about 5% amber. Maybe 10%. I think I will wait another week or two since last grow I harvested way too early. I really want to see how long i can wait for this.

Yea was gonna mention the intense light. Especially since autos typically get 50-80% more light in flower than a photoperiod plant

That's just Rudy being Rudy. I've had autos tried to never stop growing. Had a runted blueberry auto from fast budz that I let flower for an extra month and it just kept growing and growing more calyxes and pistols, finally had to chop it because leaves were dying back into the buds and I didn't want to get Bud rot. Super small plant, probably just under a half ounce of smoke but really really tasty. Just wish I had a hell of a lot more of it lol.

when you dried this did the buds get all shrunken up and dehydrated?

last grow I harvested it and it looked like this, but the whole plant legit came out to 2 grams dry weight... so i cant tell if i chopped early, it never swelled, or i dried too fast. (or a combo of all three)

Before i open a new Topic let me put in pictures of my auto skywalker haze by Dutch Passion. Would you guys diagnose the same issue? I thought that 12 inches of distance with appr. 180W of light wouldnt be that much of an issue. Its in late flower already and i was getting ready to chop by the end of net week. But after applying some molasses it started producing new pistils and not only at the top buds but also on them lower ones.

Help, comments or guestimations appreciated - especially regarding further flowering time!
Thanks!
