Hey guys,
I would like to automate my cuttings, I currently use rapid rooters and have 100% success but I need to leave for vacation every now and then. I have used aeroponic cloning machines in the past with some success but tended to struggle with slime in the rez.
What recipes or tricks are you guys using to keep your rez clean and success rates up?

Rooting hormone, tap water, and 1 aspirin (in approximately 1.5 gal water) day 8 i normally see little baby roots and by day 12 they're ready to hit the cups(usually).

Yep. Aspirin contains Salicylic acid. It also thins vascular fluids, for humans its blood, for plants its sap.

It's how I've always done it till this current grip of snips and we're day 8 with no action. So I'm going back to what had been working when I change their water tonight or tomorrow

I have had clones in the cooker for 9 days now and I have yet to see any roots...

I did have a set back where the temperature got high and as a result some slime accumulated. But I quickly switched out the reservoir of water and I actually gave the Clones a 50/50 h20 And h2o2 I then very gently removed. The slime with a soft bristle brush and threw them right back in the cooker...

I don't know. The whole thing has me worried.

Have you ever used clone x? I used It on maybe 20 of the Clones that I have in there now. They were the ones that got the slime on them. Reading through a bunch of the forums, I figured that the slime came from the higher temperature and the clonex. So when I change the water and remove the slime I did not use the clone x again and I have not had a problem As far as slime goes...

But I have not seen roots and I usually see them by now..

1000001845.jpg dude, I just realized that I put this in my water every time I water my plants....

Can I throw this right into my reservoir?

I use Clonex & pool shock in my reservoirs. I run temp between 75-80f. 99% roots in 2 weeks.
I use Clonex cloning solution per label directions....not the gel
Here's 600+ clones in my setup. Best of luck

That's is silicic acid, a plant avaliable silicon compound. Salicylic acid is a naturally forming plant growth hormone, aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid.

Can you add the aspirin in at any time? Or is it something that you have to do in the beginning
I'm about to find out, my cuts have gotten the slime. I'm about to clean and reset the whole thing. It shouldn't be a problem adding whenever although I only use it when rooting.

OMG thank you so much for showing you that and telling you that. I hope he don't mind if I ask a couple quick questions.. if you find me time to answer. I will forever be in your debt.

After reading your post and looking at your pictures my one and only concern is the pool shock.

I purchased the shock last night at Walmart but when I got back to my house my scale was broken And I won't be able to get a new one until I get paid on Friday...

So I measured out what I assumed to be a gram which I read in a different post from where was somewhere between an eighth and a quarter teaspoon...

If that equation is off that going to be a problem?

I tried to err on the side of caution And probably use closer to an eighth of a teaspoon in a gallon of water...

After I mixed it thoroughly, I measured out a milliliter per gallon and added it to my reservoir...

It's been about 10 days and I still do not have any roots nor signs of roots.

Roots take about 14 days and the warmer it is the longer it can take. You can get quick roots but mostly mine are between the 14-21 day point. You should come to @doublejj 's BBQ he offers free trim lessons :eyesmoke:

I will be happy to answer your questions. I use 2gr of pool shock powder that is 68% Calcium Hypochlorite mixed in 1gl of water. I use 100mil of pool shock solution per 15 gl = 6.6mil per gl. So you could probably add a little more and be alright.
Best of luck. Hope to see you at the BBQ... https://www.rollitup.org/t/spring-bbq-sat-4-27-camp-far-west-lake.1099189/

I try to keep it above 80.
