So now’s a bad time to mention we’re leaving for vacation tomorrow? Off to Punta Cana for a week. All kind of last minute, kids are buggin’ the jeebus out of us, weather is still sus’ at home, work is quiet scenario. I’d rather go travel proper, but with two small kids, I’ll take some sun and sand as a win.

Yes @StareCase I can 100% relate. The other fun comparison I have is from my time working in the film & TV business and doing a movie for Disney. Calling into the studio for weekly meetings the hold music, I shit you not, was often “It’s a Small World Afterall” - straight up torture.

Man, I remember skies like that in the mid-west as a kid. 'Fun' is not what I would equate those days/nights to.
Hiding in the basement under the stairs with my little sister and parents listening to a pocket radio on the local weather station while sirens went off is how I remember that.

Garbage day here too. Small world, full of trash lol. I moved all my outdoor beds yesterday. Had to shift them all so they will fit under the new hoop house/awning thing I'm building. Dug the old hole out, and into buckets. Dug the new hole and backfield the old hole making sure top soil stayed on top. Then reammend and fill the new hole.Mornin

Garbage day here. Probably do some more yard work.
Added a bunch of compost, and busted up sea shells. Holes are all 3' square x 3' deep. Raked the front yard up and dumped the rest of the leaves on top. Think I'll go back to sleep for a minute today, hit the ground running in 2 hours.

A bit chilly in here this AM. We opted to not build a fire last night. Must be "Spring". 31F...heading into the 60's and sunny.
Got a buncha water flowing and watered the yahhhhhhhd yesterday. You could see it greenin up as the water hit it. SLLLLUUUURRRRP. Damn it's already way to dry. Le' douching shall continue unabated until...well...October or so. If you don't water it here it's dead.
Transplanted the first wave of girls into bigger shoes. 2nd wave is germing...I hope. Always fun. Not. I've decided to take some clones this Summer get back into making some S-1 seeds/a cross or two. I could definitely save some $$ and have a lot more seeds to play with/less stress than popping $10 seeds. What a racket...
It's definitely not rocket science. "Funny" how the Gov't says the seeds are now legal...yet the prices still reflect "illegal". Like the dispensaries and the way they price weed. I'm just glad I played hard/made bank before the circus came to town.
"Vacation". Wow. We haven't done that kinda thing for-fookin-ever. I get it w/kids though. Somewhere along the line college Spring Break became grade school Spring Break. We never had that shit when I was in school/walked 5 miles one way...in the snow and shit... but we had better drugs than the kids have today...Heehee. "Take a trip and never leave the farm..." And geez...talk about spoiled...and burnin' up the planet. Have fun kids! Don't blame me for climate change yer causing jetting all over the place. Heehee. Duh. All of my friends are doing the same shit. nobody is happy where they are....

One more thing. I stepped outside to throw a wet tea bag off the deck and into the garden. I didn't even look, and it hit a big ol chubby Robin right between the wings lol. I tea bagged a Robin from 30' away. Precision
