The other thing, got some tobbaco seeds to try make my own Camel´s. Anyone have experiences growing tobbaco?
I've grown tobacco, easy plants mostly. I've had outbreaks of mold when temp/humidity just stay too high and leaves are in contact with ground.
Most common pests are caterpillars that can eat tomato plants or nightshade family (use Bt-k ), and some small black beetles that suck the veins.
Just keep the lower leaves off the ground if you do a broadleaf type, might want to look into sulfur to keep mildew away.

Virginia broadleaf for smoking, Rustica grows anywhere on the planet and is good for pesticide use, and flowering nicotine for butterflies or an incredible evening aroma. When the sun sets, the aroma is heavenly.

Mornin....

Missin my big bro today. 10 years gone in a few months. Woulda been 68 today. He was one of those guys who was a full on pothead/hippie wannabee in college but then...for some reason...went to the Dark Side and turned rightie AF in his mid 20's. Turned me into the Black Sheep of the fam on the spot. LOL.

Anyone here ever purchase clones online? Yeah...I know...it can be risky...but damn am I ever getting tired of seeds (that won't pop) and the failed "Keeper" hunt. It's been a great addiction but I'm done feeding the monster. Now that the Gov't thinks it's all "hemp"...er whatever the game is...it seems things have opened up a lot. I'd drive to Denver but it's 3.5 hours one-way and I haven't been in a city/traffic/etc. (eeeewww) for um...a long time now. There just isn't enough hash for that shit. No thanks. Any leads? Appreciated.

A so-so day on tap here as the seasons war it out. Flurrying out there now...and some krunk later possibly...but after today it seems we may warm into the 70's for a bit. We could sure use another shot of rain/snow though. I fear it's gonna be a long, hot, dry Summer. At least we have water..

I hope yer day is special...at least for those of you who still see meaning in "the weekend". Yeah...whatever! Jus' another day here....

Do you notice a difference between regular food safe mylar bags and grove bags? I was thinking of going cheap since I didn't notice much difference between mason jars. One can get regular mylar several times cheaper per bag...
Here's what they say... "

TerpLoc® zippered pouches are designed around the unique physiology of cannabis to maintain weight, prevent mold, and preserve delicate terpene profiles. Once your product is sealed inside, unwanted gasses and water vapor are actively diffused through the pouches’ layers, creating a microclimate with a relative humidity level of 58-62%, limiting oxidation and preventing damage from harmful UV rays. Zippered pouches are available in fully opaque and windowed varieties in multiple sizes."

It makes sense you are paying for that semi-permeable membrane.

It's got me sold on the savings over jars with some unfounded hope on helping the cure. There is an awful lot of folks claiming some improvement, so I'm thinking herd mentality might actually be on to something for a change. Lol
Crowd sourcing is a great resource. I have a large bakers rack full of canning jars from my early years of actual canning. But after I come out of my freeze dryer I've been testing my vacuum sealer bags and next will be my freeze dryer's bags.

This is the current test running in my Koolatron (60%/60F)

and then I'm going to run the HR mylar bags against my Vacuum bags and see if there is any difference.

It would be nice to have a better form factor then jars.

No, that's why I used the word selective. They are not equally permeable. Engineered plastics have been in use long enough that their market has grown and the economies of scale allowed the tech to gain wider use. Something like this: https://www.porex.com/custom-engineered-porous-plastic-solutions/. So I'm checking it out. I'd love to get rid of all those jars.
All flexible material is permeable. I have done helium mass spectrometer testing on a wide range of flexible materials and have never found one to be less than 1.0E-9 sccs. Some tricks can slow down the permeation (like coatings or compound treatments) but these will eventually degrade to near original material permeability.

Oh and happy 420 to everyone! I wish happy high times to all! As they used to say in the military, Smoke 'em if you got 'em!
