The saddest plant I've ever seen, will it recover?

It's ok to put smart pots inside smart pots, you didnt do anything wrong, just over did everything right too soon,.
Follow the basic rules of nice temps overall for roots and plants as much as you can, watering intervals according to the soil moisture and weight, and give the magic some time to happen.
It was a bad decision moving it into this large pot so soon, you have so much moisture there for so little roots, you really don't need more then a 330cc cup for optimal balance of air/water as close to 50/50 at any given time at that stage of growth.

It won't help messing with it further now, just keep it in warm temps and as much sun as possible and it should be fine eventually.

Thanks for the insights. You're right that the transplant was both too soon and too drastic, the pot too big, and the weather too shit.

I could probably have kept it in the smaller smartpot for another month or so?

At this weather yeah, it's not going to explode in growth until overall temps start to rise and the sun shining on it.

Like you said in the beginning, it was an experiment, I'd say it's not a failure because you did get data and wisdom that you didn't have before. Now if you recover the plant and get some flower off of it then it's a bonus! I think it will straighten out for you, we're still early in the year

Do you run fast flowering versions outdoors?
You can do but you would be better off running a proper outdoor line vs the fast versions cos in my opinion there hit and miss so things like mightey mite friesland viking typhoon and stuff from hybrids from hell and paniks stuff from rgs there all mostly semi autos they are a better shout for outdoor here mate this year im throwing out some og autos and proly some erdpurt x friesland as i got em there

they make some dank autos nowadasy that yall across the pond can run outside. i recommned the expert seeds glueberry auto if you can find it. tried autos for garden of green, nirvana, pyramid, HSO (THEIR LEMON JUICE EXPRESS IS SOME OF THE TASTIEST WEED IVE GROWN/SMELLED) out of prolly 40 photo strains more or less. but that glueberry auto is awesome. flowers at wk5 of veg done at 84 days from seed both times i grew it. same plant nearly can get huuuuge. ive seen it ran in a 5 gallon fill up a 4x4 lol. i dont grow autos but i would throw those two auto strains outside here for some quick summer smoke. the glueberry smelled like fake string cheese and diesel. strong sativa dominant high. miss it lol. i coughed my ass off smoking that glueberry on the exhale. highly recommend put her in a 5gallon or larger in the woods :fire: :weed:. i have a pic somewehere or video if you would like to see looks quite frosty for auto i was suprised. autos 10 years ago sucked. yielded 2-3 zips indoors outside could very well hit 4 zips and up in a large enough pot like 5 gal. topped her with no issues also about day 23 i believe

for sure i remember when those short ryder or low ryder plants first came out and it was just too much ruderalis. now their basically indica and sativa with that light cycle ruderalis trait. just took awhile to get the breeding down i suppose. id love to throw some outside indoors id never run one again but they are kinda fun being so unique. that pyramid seeds purple auto was good to finished in like 54 days i think i did LST didnt top this one cuz she began flowering at like day 23 or so. manages to get about 48 grams off her in the corner of the tent ina 1 or 2 gallon grow bag. now that ive been at it much longer i bet if you threw it in like a 3 gallon you could get maybe 2-3 off her with added silica of course. nice purple/lavender frosty smoke i earthy taste and smell and nice balanced head high. stayed up late playing ncaa on it havent had a high like that in awhile idk mustve been the terps but nice quick plant if you want to try her and get her done nice and fast. outdoors in a 3 gallon i bet you could get 3 zips or so off her with good feedings and nice weather of course

Bit unrelated to my initial problem, but I've actually been looking for a good auto to grow outdoors in these cold Nordic countries, something cold/mold resistant, has big yields, not prone to pests, easy to grow, has won some awards, etc.

@techniciangrower97 and @conor c what do you think of Super Lemon Haze Auto? I looked at maybe 20 different strains, to find one that fit my criteria and this one seemed like a classic that ticks all the boxes.

I want to grow one as a hermie intentionally, to get myself a shitload of seeds so I'm set for the next many seasons.

idk man ive never seen a plant in my experience that was cold resistant especially autos. i mean some autos/photoperiod plants are hardier than other plants/strains/phenotypes but they all do not like the cold. photoperiods are hardier and they do not like it as well. anything below 75f or 21 degrees Celsius is not good especially for small plants. big plants with a week or two left to go in flower no problem really theyll just slow down growth and turn dark purple or even black purple from the cold depending on the genetics if it has it in it to purple. my advice get you some fast autos if youre veg season is very limited like strains that finish around 63 days or less from seed. veg for two-three weeks or as long as you can and as many as you can and throw them out in the best time of year where you live if it gets cold quick. ive seen autos grown in Alaska before. good luck. :weed: cause for example the pyramid auto purple was small little plant but with a good flower to leaf ratio she will produce and easy to conceal as well because of size. so like 10 in 3 gallon pots outside in fox farm coco loco youd get you a good quick harvest. there are a ton of autos that finish in 63 days or less from seed that usually yeild a oz or two. super lemon haze sounds like a 90-100+ day auto to me. but ya no plant is cold resisant but they can take it up to freezing before theyll die but when its cold out they should be harvested as soon as possible.

Never ran the auto slh and wouldnt as i like the original and i doubt it be anything like the one i remember hell even ghs photo version these days isnt like the old one so id try something else maybe look at realgorillaseeds amnesia autos seen those grew out well in the uk also the ones i mentioned in the previous post are not full autos/day neutral those are semi autos there basically just very photo sensitive early flowering plants

Like you said most auto lines arent cold friendly photos are better that way

Reverse it chemically with sts or cs worst case cos you do not wanna use a non chemically reversed herm to breed with intentionally your just making more work an headaches for yourself you want as low a percentage of that in the genepool as possible

I have plenty of growing season to grow one without going below 20c, it was more to see if it was possible to do two grows a year, but it's optional, not a must.

It's allegedly not very hard. You just buy the auto seeds, then after planting you spray it every day with something specific, that turns it hermaphrodite, then it can pollinate itself and will give you seeds.

Here's a video about it. Seems like a great way to get a shitload of seeds without buying a shitload of seeds.

the nirvana lemon og haze? i think that was just a unstable ass strain when i got the seeds they were like 17 dollars for a 5 pack and the reviews said that as well. some plants done in 75 days. some done in 110 days but more yeild. idk maybe just got a good plant. now their 30 dollars a 5 pack for seeds. guess they just had to work out the genetics to stabilize it takes a few generations and what not. but no a plant should finish same time as always regardless of location that was just genetics. i do love nirvana tho and their F1 generation seeds. cheap but always nice good smoke

They survive true but i mean they prefer it warmer tho for sure where possible anything below 10c slows growth and autos are on a fixed timeframe anyway

yup i live in a hot good area where i can grow good watermelons and tomatoes all summer. and my veg time here is very limited because of my longitude. i can grow from about late may june to late july early august and then the plants will flower. but they grow sooo much more in that summer heat with that sunlight and co2. they also use more nutrients therefore bigger harvests. i grow better weed inside but outside cant beat the sun and nature. but i got bad rain storms here like tornadoes not in my area though too much hills lol. but you can still get dank outdoor with proper care. do you know about the neem/silica solution? ive had plants thrown out 3 feet tall in the ground and end up being 7 feet but put them in the ground and the storms ruined them. i prefer pots if youre veg time is limited and honestly its way easier and the plants get all the potting soil instead of whats in thw ground you mix it with. the whole ground just eroded one day and moved. pissed me off. i now run much smaller plants but more plants
