Finally done with plant shit for a couple weeks. I had to cut down this jungle, and was tempted to use my machete.

Filled up the cloner with all my new strains.

Just as many left over cuttings, I keep them around for a while just in case -

Now that the moms are tamed and small, they go back in their tray for another 3 weeks -

... Those the outdoor ladies getting their sea legs? ...
That would be a negative for 2024, Mr. Chiz. These ladies are going to be the next indoor grow.

Mrs. S. and I are planning on being aboard the Rocky Mountaineer on Oct 1 to Oct 19 heading west from Banff to The Couv then spending a week or so on Vancouver Island. I do not have anyone local or trustworthy to provide TLC for my THC. These indoor girls will be chopped, dried and cured by Sept 30th. I'll take some cuts Oct 1 then let them root while I am away. I can trust someone to add a little plain water into the clone dome every couple of days

So I'll be taking a pass on an outdoor grow this year. But I do like the buzz I get from last year's outdoor endeavour so I will do other outdoor crops.

I am having such a nice time being high and hot in the sun. Whiskey is doing a cute while Tango is doing her best to self induce heat stroke. Old man gets hot too easily nowadays, so his bed goes in the shade. Yes, he dug a hole in it like 7 years ago, the damn fabric is sturdy AF.

... But then you’ll miss such gems as: “what the hell is this on the leaves?” Or “it’s supposed to get how cold tonight?” and who can forget “fuckin’ squirrels!” ...
Surprisingly ... the squirrels and chipmunks left the plants alone. The bees did sporadic "fly by's" but didn't land. But the strange particulate on the leaves and the fears of temps dropping too much - all very familiar gems from last fall.

The gem that I did not expect - my neighbor to the south all of a sudden got a little more chummy with me as the middle of September approached. Barely a word to me since we moved here in June 2006 then suddenly she became far more chatty. And today, if I am outside as she drives by, I now get the wave and the smile. No such thing last spring.

Turns out that the Mom is an occasional toker ( who knew ... ?! ) so my lanky green things might have ignited an accidental friendship. Once the ladies started bulking their fruit, she knew exactly what they were.

And now she knows exactly why these bright lights come on at 6:00 and stay on until midnight.
