Think you mean homosexuality not homophobia. Never said that was in the constitution just pointing out the current potus changes his morales and convictions to placate others. Again not a trump fan supporter, voter don't like him either.

My bad the people that wrote the constitution said this in another important document
Doesn't equal unless they sleep the same sex.
Are you advocating that women should NOT have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness because of what Jefferson wrote in 1776? I assume you do not advocate slavery and stripping all civil rights from women. So, why should civil rights only extend to cisgender men and women? Are those who don't fit that category not also human beings?

Florida's Cannon has pushed back on her crap (personally i think she should be replaced but that's just me)

and now Georgia with Fanni's RICO case?

meanwhile

Michigan has indicted in the election case

Arizona has indicted in they're election case

and i think Nevada is next according to the wires or is it Wisconsin?

I noticed that, too.
It certainly does look like all the dominos are falling in a certain direction.

yeah it didn't go so well today, Trumps defense attorneys...are basically morons.....

1st: the tried for mistrail cause of the Stormy's testimony (for reference read the NY doc from pages 2614 to 2617).....well that was denied
2nd: the tried to get the gag order opened up so orange dumb dumb can respond to stormy.........DENIED...

basically the after this the defence went after a shame and slut defence.....and that didn't go very well at all.........

imho from reading the court docket....i think she was raped and then she was paid not to tell anyone about the alleged, cause the court doc clearly states she wasn't drink and wasn't using any kind of drugs....she did mention she did black out for a spell for some reason......idk

From a Law perspective, that's the last kind of distraction the prosecution wants and is utterly irrelevant to this case, so even if it did happen it won't be part of this trial.

They were already on dangerous ground with some of the dirty details they brought out in yesterday's testimony being potentially prejudicial, hence the defense motion this morning. One of the things that keeps it from being appealable or grounds for mistrial is that Stinky's lawyers didn't object at the time. You can't not object to evidence being introduced and then decide the next day that its introduction is grounds for a mistrial.

I generally hate the oversimplification inherent in catch phrases, but Popok's "this is about the checks, not the sex" is a good reminder to stay on track.
Get him convicted in this case, then worry about what comes after.

(I honestly think even a short stay in custody will destroy Trump, maybe even kill him. Sleeping in a cell, on a crappy mattress, beside a toilet, with no lackeys to cater to his every whim; being told when to go to sleep and when to get up and what to wear, and so on, it will be a massive shock to the pampered man-child.)

yeah the orange turd wasn't happy today, as today was Cohen testimony. Cohen basically dotted the (I)'s and crossed the (T)'s for the prosecution about what happened and that orange turd did in fact had his hands in everything.....

At one point it is said that the orange turd was a actually fuming at his testimony and his facial expressions weren't the best (maybe he had to pass gas at that point who knows)

course at the end of the day, the orange turd went outside whiney

at the beginning of the trial i saw Tuberville and JD vance there at one point, guess they came to see they're sugar daddy and give him support, on the flip side of that i'm starting to notice that a lot of the maga morons are starting to say stuff about the judges daughter and the jury and such, maybe a way for orange turd to get around the gag order he's under...instead of him doing it, he'll let everyone else do it for him.

this all in all wasn't a bad day for the direct they got one more day and then the defense get him(this should be interesting)

well say it isn't so.....got a strange feeling there is gonna be a hearing about this

In his remarks outside the courtroom Tuesday, Donald Trump demanded Judge Juan Merchan rescind the tailored gag order placed on him that was designed to ensure the sanctity of the trial and the safety of witnesses, jurors, court staff, and their families.

"The gag order has to come off," Trump told reporters Tuesday morning, adding his frequent "never been anything like this in the history of our country" claim.

Judge Merchan just last week reportedly cited Trump's own words from his own book when defending his decision to keep the gag order in place and not modify it.

"When you are wronged, go after those people, because it is a good feeling and because other people will see you doing it. Getting even is not always a personal thing. It’s just part of doing business," Trump's book passage reads.

But as The Washington Post reported Monday, Trump's surrogates are saying "the forbidden stuff for him." They "have helpfully stepped forward to offer a timely and convenient service: lodging those same attacks, while appearing at the trial in support of him."

"Republican lawmakers have appeared at Trump’s trial — even entering and exiting the courtroom with him — and proceeded to say precisely the kinds of things he’s not allowed to."

Because the "kinds of things he’s not allowed to" say violate the gag order.

Politico reports, "Trump's surrogates continue launching verbal attacks that would violate gag order if Trump said them himself."

But according to the text of Trump's gag order, he is "directed to refrain from":

"Making or directing others to make public statements about known or reasonably foreseeable witnesses concerning their potential participation in the investigation or in this criminal proceeding; Making or directing others to make public statements" about attorneys "in the case other than the District Attorney," "members of the court's staff and the District Attorney's staff, or the family members of any counsel or staff member" or "any prospective juror or any juror in this criminal proceeding."

The prosecution has not indicated it will, but it could ask the judge to examine the "directing others to make public statements" portion of the gag order.

On Tuesday, one of the most powerful elected Republicans in the country, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, became the most high-profile Trump surrogate on the planet.

Critics are blasting Speaker Johnson, who is second in line to the presidency, for attending the trial Tuesday and for delivering remarks some are calling false, in support of the indicted ex-president and 2024 GOP presumptive nominee.

“When asked for his worldview when Mike Johnson became Speaker of the House and nobody knew anything about him he said, 'you want to know my worldview? Go read the bible, that's what I stand for,'" MSNBC's Willie Geist said Tuesday. "And now today he's at the courthouse defending the guy who's on trial for allegedly paying off a porn star for the alleged affair he had while his wife was home with their infant son.”

Johnson and U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) are among those who went and said what the judge told Trump he could not.

Johnson strongly defended Trump Tuesday morning. And following the Trump playbook, he attacked the prosecutor, the judge, and the judge's daughter, which could be deemed a violation of Judge Merchan's gag order against Trump if he decides Johnson's remarks came at Trump's request.

Award-winning journalist Laura Bassett, the former editor-in-chief of Jezebel, responded to that video, writing, "The guy who admitted that he and his son monitor each other’s porn intake is out here publicly lying on behalf of a man who cheated on his wife with a porn star and paid to cover it up."

Calling it "Craven," and "lawless," Bloomberg Opinion Senior Executive Editor Tim O'Brien remarked, "House Speaker Mike Johnson is outside the NY courthouse right now and essentially helping Trump sidestep the court’s gag order by acting as his proxy by attacking the integrity of the trial and judicial process. He’s even targeting Justice Merchan’s daughter."

Congressman Donalds, who is on the short list to become Trump's vice presidential running mate, also attacked the judge's daughter on Tuesday, from outside the courthouse.

Political commentator Bob Cesca observed, "If you're wondering why Vance, Tuberville, and Johnson are there, it's because of the gag order. They're Trump's voice. The Mouths of Sauron," he wrote, referring to the near-entirely evil creature from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings."

"BTW, asking surrogates to attack witnesses and the judge's daughter is a violation of the gag order," he added.

Former Denver Chief Deputy District Attorney Craig Silverman remarked, "Note how Trump gets Vance and Johnson to violate the gag order for him. Mobster tactic. Make your Trump champions violate the law right along with you. Once they are in for a dime, they are in for a dollar and stuck with MAGA."

had a feeling that was happening starting yesterday.....and of course Eric is on his phone(a no no) and JD Vance yesterday was on his as well (a no no)

right now the defense is doing there thing.....so we'll see what happens at the end of the day here....

It is well past time (imo!) for Merchan to deliver on detention for that man’s refusal to comply with quite restrained restraints. Time to hit spraytan Satan where it actually hurts. Any other defendant would have been locked up way before this.

Conversely, if there is a legitimate judicial reason (beyond the judge’s distaste for dramatic or radical measures) for sanctions not to be executed and now, it would be useful for the news bigs to tell us about it in some detail.

Absent that, all I see is unwarranted white kid gloves for the foully execrable former executive. ~pissed-off shrug~

seems like Cohen put a few zingers in there today:

Justice Merchan: Mr. Blanche?
Trump's lawyer Todd Blanche: We've never met, but you know who I am, don't you?
Cohen: Yes. Blanche: You called me a little shit on TikTok?
Cohen: Sounds like something I would say.
Justice Mercan: Approach!

there is one....right off the bat too...

number 2:

Trump's lawyer Blanche: You have been following it on CNN and MSNBC, right?
Cohen: I watch, for example about protests about Israel. So I see it.
Blanche: You called President Trump a dictator douchebag?
Cohen: Sounds like I'd say that

number 3:

Trump's lawyer Blanche: You called President Trump a Cheetos-dusted cartoon villain?
Cohen: Yes.
Blanche: You said, I f*cking want to see him locked up?
Cohen: Sounds like my language on Mea Culpa.
Blanche: I want you to listen to it, not the jury [headphones on]

Thank you Cohen for saying what the lawyer is and for the descriptive additions of the orange turd

personally i would like to see Braggs and Merchan drag those orange turd mall rats in for contempt. Then after that drag the actual orange turd and serve him to with contempt. When i got to work and clicked on my news, i found a couple of new articles saying that they should, i'm inclined to believe that they should.

now the question is, if the orange turd is hit with contempt again and possibly jailed (i know maybe or maybe no) should the other DA's like in DC and Georgia revoke his bail? That question was possed by someone in this thread

imo i think they should after this.....

Everything you said is correct, and I agree with you, but the moment he’s put behind bars for contempt is the moment he wins the election.
If he’s jailed for one of the actual charges he’s facing, it’s harder to spin that into being persecuted, but jailed on contempt is a free pass to the White House for Trump.
This is the reason the judges have been so lenient with his BS so far.
Not because he’s a former President but because they know they could inadvertently hand him an election victory by holding him in contempt of court.
This is why he’s trying so hard to piss off the judges and prosecutors.
Trump wants to be held in contempt and it’s been his plan all along.
